Throughout history, whenever a leap in technology or thoughts has been made, we learned that prior beliefs in a god were wrong and that that god never existed. We never disproved Zeus, we just learned where lighting really came from. This is the approach we need to continue. Which technology will kill the last big 3?

For instance, we used to believe that a chariot pulled the sun across the sky. But we knew otherwise after we found out the Earth was round and the Sun was in the middle of the solar system. Also, we thought Thor made thunder, but then learned it was a reaction to air molecules caused by lightning.

One way to think about what people gain from belief in a god is some way to understand what they can not understand any other way. As you point out, as science developed theories to explain what had been unexplainable, people no longer needed belief in gods. Two points: 1. just because they did not need to doesn't mean everyone quit believing. 2. there are things which science may never be able to develop theories to explain. One is what happens to the spirit when the body dies.

Personally, one thing I do know for certain is that I will find out (if there is anything to find out) when I die. I am good with this plan and do not spend a lot of time worrying about it.

It has surely no longer killed the thought of God. seem at what proportion religious human beings there are interior the international. i think of religions have adapted to technologies, some Gods have pasted away into history, others have replaced, others have shaped. i think of, in spite of the undeniable fact that, that technological information and technologies have opened new doors to information of the universe around us, alongside with ourselves, that have been until now defined basically via faith.

Science and religion are not opposite poles they are just the heads and tale of the coin of truth.

People will always have a psychological need for a greater power (because God made us that way). They will also always want more understanding of the world around them, but new knowledge brings new questions. After they learned electricity was in lighting, they figured out how to harness it, now we look for a cheaper, greener and more efficient method. So there will always be a place for God.

If anything, technology is making man believe he is God.

For instance. The man from Canada who had a smart house. The smart house is one where all things are tied in with a computer.

This man was the first from Canada, I believe, that has received a bio chip. And encoded in this chip are parameters that allow the man do do functions in his household by waving his hand.

When interviewed, the man said his experience made him fell like a god.

Beware of this sin. For it is the very sin that brought about the downfall of Adam.

The serpent told Adam if he ate of the fruit, he would be like God, be a god. And because he believed the lie of the devil, he brought death unto all mankind.
