We wear those green shirts because that is what the current Commandant of the Marine Corps dictated. You can get them from any Marine Corps px or on the online px store.

Not only is it a part of the uniform it is better than wearing a white one to which I have done when it was a part of the uniform. We had to wear a v neck because CMC had a hair chest and because many felt it was sexy/ cool or more manly all of us had to get them. We even wore our rank on our cover now we don't, we have gone from satins to the green cam to having also the brown. A pair of boots cost you $15 now you would be lucky to get away with $100 for a pair. Things change to whom is in charge or one could say change the color of the rocks.

Join the Marines, They will give you one, but you will have to earn it! I did and wouldn't trade the experiance for anything. Semper Fi!
