7Look, he is coming with the clouds,
and every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

Now the questions are:

How can you ever believe a rapture will take place when the text clearly states every eye will see him, even those who pierced him (who must be non-believers), and ALL the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him.

And why is this scripture not quoted more in church? I believe it is one of the most important verses in the bible.

To me it clearly states that Jesus will come, in person, before the rest of revelation will take place.

Why is it necessary for you to believe otherwise? Is not his Grace and Forgiveness supreme over judgement and wrath?

How can you state a rapture is JUST when clearly our society, churches and other religions hide the truth of God from those who should make Heaven?

The proof is in the verse.

Yes I can see that you can quote Darbyism and Thessalonians. You might want to consider the question asked and form an answer appropriate to it. Gimme a break. Answer the question whole.

Keep in mind, there are 2 resurrections. One at the beginning of the 1000 years and one at the end. What if the one Paul has mentioned is the one at the end?

If you would do a legitimate study of the entire text of the end times, you would understand that this verse is a PROPHECY of things that are yet to come, after the rapture has already taken place! what it`s saying is that every eye that is still here will see him and that all the people that are still here will mourn because of him!
" every eye WILL see him,.. all the people of the earth WILL mourn because of him..."
obviously future tense being used here!
The rapture is a separate and preceding event described in detail in 1st Thessalonians chapters 4 & 5! Read it for yourself! It says there that The Lord will return like a thief in the night! AND that we will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air! It does`nt sound to me like every eye will see this happen! What the Revelation is describing is when The Lord will return to judge the nations at the end of the tribulation, by which time the church will have been taken up!
And if your smart, you will get saved and reserve your place on that first trip!

This is an easy one. Revelation is speaking of Christs coming back to the EARTH to resume His program with the Nation Israel. Every eye WILL see Him when He returns to the earth.

However, there is a SECRET coming in the AIR for the church which is His BODY, that not everyone will be privy to.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

THIS is the rapture, or the catching away of the church which is His BODY.

God has two plans : One for heaven, and one for the earth. Thats why you see two "comings". You need to rightly divide the Word of truth to see clearly which group is being spoken of.

Later addition:...LOL, if you already have an established agenda and have assumed you already KNOW the answer, then why ask?

No the proof is never in ONE verse. That is called "proof texting" and is NOT how God has told us to study His Word. Comparing scripture WITH scripture, and "studying to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that doesnt need to be ashamed (which should tell you that those who DONT STUDY the Bible Gods Way WILL be ashamed), rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

By the time Revelation is in place, the church which is His Body will be GONE...."to meet their Lord in the AIR" and NOT on the earth, as will be the case when He comes again for ISRAEL.

You assume without having all the necessary information. God calls that "a zeal for God WITHOUT knowledge."

The truth is that nobody really knows...that is what FAITH really means.

Could be that many things have been altered over the years, but all the scriptures and writings and teachings etc. are all housed in the Vatican City where even the scholars have yet to sift through them all, for protection. So this is why the RC church is considered the one true church too.

Did you know all the other churches were formed by Vatican priests who broke off and formed their own churches? Even to THIS DAY you see people creating their own churches.

Do you think in 2000 years people will know the difference between a gay minister of a newly created church and whatever their teachings will evolve to, and the RC church and that they won't claim Jesus was gay or who knows what other "truth" will be manifested? IF only you lived so long to tell them huh?

Do you think these nut jobs on TV who babble on like psychos from an institute would truly be God's messengers? My a.s.s.

Truth is like instinct, and in fact I believe that instinct, guided by faith, is really the secret to God working within you.

The truth shall set you free and you will know what it is if you really look for it.

You will find no worldly answer however, it's really just faith and spirit.

The "rapture" means a catching up. Believers will see Jesus coming and angels will carry them up to meet Him in the air. They will also be transformed at that time into spiritual beings.

Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.

Jesus isn't coming before the tribulation. Verse 7 is a prologue to the rest of the book. Notice that He is coming at the "last trumptet" call.

Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever."

16 And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying, "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign. 18 The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth."

19 Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.

“Coming With the Clouds”

Next, John jubilantly announces: “Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him. Yes, Amen.” (Revelation 1:7) No doubt John was here reminded of Jesus’ earlier prophecy concerning the conclusion of the system of things. Jesus there stated: “Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:3, 30) Thus, Jesus ‘comes’ by turning his attention to the executing of Jehovah’s judgments on the nations. This will result in momentous changes on earth, and since “all the tribes of the earth” have ignored the reality of Jesus’ kingship, they will indeed experience “the anger of the wrath of God the Almighty.”—Revelation 19:11-21; Psalm 2:2, 3, 8, 9.

During Jesus’ last evening with his disciples, he told them: “A little longer and the world will behold me no more.” (John 14:19) How is it, then, that “every eye will see him”? We should not expect that Jesus’ enemies would see him with physical eyes, for the apostle Paul said, after Jesus’ ascension to heaven, that Jesus now “dwells in unapproachable light,” and “not one of men has seen or can see” him. (1 Timothy 6:16) Evidently, John meant “see” in the sense of “discern,” just as we can see, or discern, God’s invisible qualities by means of his creations. (Romans 1:20) Jesus “is coming with the clouds” in that he will be just as invisible to the naked eye as the sun is when it is behind clouds. Even when the sun is hidden by clouds during daytime, we know it is there because of the daylight that surrounds us. Similarly, though the Lord Jesus is invisible, he will be revealed like ‘a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not obey the good news about him.’ These too will be compelled to “see him.”—2 Thessalonians 1:6-8; 2:8.

Jesus will be ‘seen’ also by “those who pierced him.” Who might these be? When Jesus was executed in 33 C.E., the Roman soldiers pierced him literally. The guilt of that murder was shared by the Jews, for Peter told some of these at Pentecost: “God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.” (Acts 2:5-11, 36; compare Zechariah 12:10; John 19:37.) Those Romans and Jews have now been dead for close to 2,000 years. So those who ‘pierce him’ today must represent nations and peoples that display the same hateful attitude that was shown when Jesus was impaled. Jesus is no longer here on earth. But when opposers either actively persecute Jehovah’s Witnesses, who bear witness to Jesus, or passively consent to such treatment, it is just as though such opposers were ‘piercing’ Jesus himself.—Matthew 25:33, 41-46.

Your understanding of Revelations is your downfall.

You seem to believe that Revelations will come in the order it is written. Yet, that is not so.

For instance, Revelation 12 tells us when the devil was cast out of heaven. And it happened very long ago. It occur ed at the time Jesus was resurrected and ascended unto the Father. For he had defeated death, he had defeated satan, Heb. 2.

So you cannot look at Revelations within an order as written.

You must remember that the author was taken from a world that subscribed to time to one that did not. So the events listed in Revelations do not all subscribe to the same time frame.

That does not refer to The Rapture... Christ will not be seen as He will not come to Earth. The
church will go to Him..... those are the Salutation verses... not prophetic... just stateing what was already known. Christ will return.... The Rapture is not The Second coming.

First, it was John not Paul who saw the visions in Revelation. The four corners are just another reference to the four directions of north, south, east, and west. In the vision, John saw angels holding the winds from blowing across the earth. No winds blew from the north, south, east, or west for a period of time.

My question to that is if every eye will see him, how can they if he comes in one part of the earth, how will the other side see him?

If those who pierced him must see him, how if they are dead?

That "clearly our society, churches and other religions hide the truth of God from those who should make heaven," does not make anything just or unjust, nor did God give such perceptions as signs. God's justice is decided by God alone, and as to who should make heaven: "For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." Rom 9:15, and, "Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth." Rom 9:18
