My puppy has eaten hers before, and the tablets we've given her as treatment don't seem to work. How can I get her to stop?

I would suggest you double check with your vet to make sure the brand of dog food you are feeding is providing enough nutrients for your puppy first of all, and that you are feeding an adequate amount of food also. You may want to consider a supplement to provide more vitamins and minerals like seameal. My local humane society recommended this product to me, and I am so happy with results!
Sometimes when dogs are seeking additional nutrition, they still smell something left in their feces.
If you rule out the above issues, another source of this problem can be that they eating too fast, and therefore not digesting their food well enough. If you have the time and are willing, at feeding time, sit by your puppy and give small amounts of food at a time to get her to eat her meal a bit slower.
Keep her poo area cleaned up also.

As strange as it sounds, they eat it because they can smell the food in it. Not all dogs do this, though, and those that do, will outgrow it. My St. Poodle did this as a puppy but not anymore.

Some dogs just like the stuff. The only way to stop it is to pick it up.

Think about it. 50 billion flies couldn't be wrong. I think I saw a comedian talk about this once. The vet had him put something in the dogs food so it wouldn't taste good. (Or something like that.) This was a long time ago.

Hopefully she will outgrow it. Untill then you will have to scoop it up. I don't think it hurts them, although it is positively disgusting! I don't think I'd be letting her give me any dog sugar as long as she is eating her pooie !God bless!!
