I agree that cutting down on your carbs is a good thing but don't do Atkins, it is terrible for your body and can really damage your organs from all the protein it recommends. Try to fix meals when you have a couple of hours to yourself and pack them away in the freezer so you'll have a weeks worth of healthy meals just waiting for the microwave. This is a great way to always have the right thing to eat around so that you never have to resort to vending machines or fast food.
Obviously your life is very active but when you can try to fit in a little exercise. Diet alone isn't enough to make a big enough affect on you weight. The pounds stay off a lot better if you can work out a few times a week. Opt for taking the stairs when you can. Park your car in the spot farthest from the door, etc. There are lots of ways to get a little bit more activity into your day without taking up huge amounts of time. Keep an exercise band in your desk at work and do some bicep curls while making phone calls, etc. You can use these resistance bands while watching tv in the evening and it doesn't have to be a big interference into your day.

Umm.. you're really busy, but the best way to lose weight is diet and exercise. If possible, walk an hour every day and cut 500 calories from your diet; if you were to do that, you would lose two pounds a week and eight pounds a month! Umm.. that's the only healthy and easiest way to lose weight. Umm.. Also avoid "junk food" and "fast food;" eat more whole, non processed foods ( fruits, veggies, grains, chix, milk, etc)
Also DO NOT FOLLOW TREND DIETS! Cutting carbs, 48 hour hollywood diet, and cabbage soup, etc. A body needs a certain number of calories every single day. Find the number of calories you need and eat it. Also the whole cut carbs thing is a VERY BIG MISCONCEPTION, people men or women, need 60-70% of their calories to come from carbs. Cutting carbs will leave you without enegry and in a grouchy mood.
Hope it helps!

Drink a lot of water, keep a food journal and write down everything you eat, that way you see what kind of eating habbits you have and what you need to do to fix it, if you see you had a burger for lunch you know you should have something small like a salad for dinner, take out all the junk food out of the house, keep healthy snacks with you instead of chips, eat lots of fruit and veggies. Or try weight watchers. My aunt lost 137 lbs in 7 months on weight watchers (she has always been overweight, and then her health was at risk so she decided to do something and she looks great). Hope this helps

Start with eating well. It will give you more energy for the baby and cleaning if you do. I've given up on the exercise thing for now... until my son goes to pre school. I can get the pound off by working out at home, but I HAVE to go to a gym to KEEP them off. There's just no way I can get there.
But, maybe you can look into a gym that has free childcare while you work out

start with eating right u need to be able to maintain weight to be able to lose it
choose the apple or pear instead of the ben and jerry's ice cream bucket It Won't Kill U!
then try to eat less at meal times don't get that double serving of lasagna get a single and maybe some salad and no dessert If u cut down on the sweets this will help a lot and also u could exercise if u ever have time I know I know but just also try to enjoy ur time it’s ur life

Loosing weight isnt as difficult or hollywood as it may rub off, ask your self if you eat right? its not a big deal... self control is difficult to master, but just cutting portions in half and finding a little time to be active can make huge diffrances not only in your weight but the way you feel, your healthy start shouldnt stop with only you... you should involve your children as well.
just dump carbs load up on the water and according to your personal body type load up on the veggie pills. =]

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
