Yes because you have to trust him. And if you don't trust him around her then you shouldn't be with him in the first place. Trust goes a long way but jealousy is quick to ruin any relationship. Let him be friends with her. Also be straight up with him. Tell him that if he still has feelings for her and thats why he wants a relationship then thats what he needs to do.

Maybe it would piss me off, but what can I do? A boyfriend is not a property, I cant tell him "do this, dont do that". However, supposedly he should respect you, otherwise I suppose you wouldn't have accepted him as your boyfriend right? So, he wont do anything to disrespect you, hence his friendship with his ex will remain just politely, not in the "hugs and kisses" way...

I know a really cool person would, but I couldn't do it. My ex was friends with his ex and she was ONE of the girls he cheated with on me. I would have to REALLY trust them. I'm not that kind of person, though.
Unless it's a casual friendship, it would be okay. My bf is still friends with one of is exes (she's actually my childhood friend) and it's okay. They don't call each other or anything like that, but I trust him enough to hang out with her in public/with a bunch of people if I'm not there.

Well... it depends on what you mean by friends. Friends like "best" "hang-out-all-the-time" friends is not okay. It is okay to be acquantances, but not besties. It would totally make me jealous. It also depends on how long they dated.. if it was pretty serious and long, which means they had true feelings for eachother, you need to put an end to it. If what they had was puppy love, then let it be and continue to love your boyfriend.

yea, i would and i do. i mean first of all there is a reason she is his ex, and there is a reason he is with you and not her. theres no reason to be jealous. secondly guys hate it when girls try to contol what they do, and he will probably start to doubt the relationship if he cant even pick his friends ya know. i think that not letting him be friends with his ex is by far the worst thing you can do. and also if you dont it might seem as if you dont trust him, and trust is by far the most important thing in any relationship. i mean if i didnt trust my guy i know he would definantly not wanna be with me, and i wouldnt wanna be with him either. ya know. so just chill, if he wanted to be with her he would be. so dont worry, it will be fine lettin him be friends with her.

No i dont think so, well mabe i mean if they dont flirt at all if they do then id tell him he shouldnt be her friend because obviously hed like her if he was flirting. Just let him know that he can be friends with her as long as he doesnt flirt if she flirts tell him that u dont want him to be her friend because u dont want her to try and get with him. But if u trust him you should even let him be friends with her even if she flirt because just because she flirts doesnt mean he'll start to like her again!! If theres no flirting then yes id let him be her friend!! I hope i was some help thanx!!

i let my hubby be friends with one of his exes, she is really cool. i think i talk to her more than he does though! there is nothing to get upset about, they are exes for a reason and adults can understand that if they are secure enough.
