I would love to have a rough translation of this song, that is sung in at least some parts of Mexico for the NEw Year

El Viejo

Una limosna para este pobre Viejo
que ha dejado hijos,
que ha dejado hijos,
para el año nuevo.

A don Ferruco
lo llevan a enterrar,
porque los villistas
lo quieren matar.

Ya se va el Viejo
muriéndose de risa
porque esta noche
lo vuelven ceniza.

Not an exact translation because that would sound weird, but here you go:

Someone spare some change for this poor old man
who has left his children
who has left his children
for the new year.

They are taken Mr. Ferruco
to bury him
Because the supporters of Pancho Villa
want to kill him.

There gors the old man
dying of laughter
because tonight
they turn him to ashes.

Clearly not a very cheery holiday song.
