Excessive piercings are ugly. And some piercings, like septum, or bridge piercings will always be ugly--or at the very least, distracting. But I think that within the context of a person's style, a single facial piercing, eyebrow, lip, nose, even a monroe or labret can look very nice.

I've had a tiny stud in my nose since I was 16, and I have never gotten anything but positive remarks about it. I used to have other piercings, though, that people did have negative things to say about, so I know it's not simply a matter of people being tactful.

Curious--do you consider ear piercings ugly?

it depends...i think it's people's business to do whatever they want with their bodies...
I do like piercings on some people and on some not so much...i have my ears pierced...well i was like 2-6 month old...lol but anyway, i wouldn't want any other piercings on me. but i think eyebrows piercings are sexy...(on some)
nipples on a hot man...same for tatoos...i don't want any but i think they are a part of a person , and i think that a nice tatoo can be really sexy! but i don't like when a body is covered up by tatoos...but then i have nothing against it, I just don't want any!

I find they can make someone look beautiful but most people abuse it and have piercings all over their body. I think 2 piercings in each ear, one up top and one on the lob is perfect and i would never get anymore then that there.. I find the eyebrow piercing disgusting same with the tongue, lip. The nose isn't that bad if it's just a little stud but i'm not a huge fan. I personally find belly button piercings are so cute if you have the stomach for it! It grosses me out when I see people with lip tongue and eyebrow rings.. Especialyl when they stretch their ears so they can stick the finger or a pencil through it!

haha i love how some people are saying how ear piercings are okay and the rest are trash and low or whatever.
Anyways, I love them, I think they can enhance parts of your body that you usually wouldn't feel comfortable about, my experience anyways.
If you don't have piercings, you wouldn't have a clue what I'm talking about, and think I'm an idiot, but to those of you that do, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

i think body piercings in moderation are ok. if you have someone who overkills on it then it looks bad. i dont like the eye brow, monroe, and lip piercings on a women though. some women look ok with a tiny nose stud. multiple ear piercings can look ok as well.

No-I have a few piercings;my nose,eyebrow & nipple.My partner has her nose,lip & eyebrow done too.I love piercings,they look sexy.

My honest opinion is YES.

I prefer the natural look, not putting holes in your body. It's kind of like mutilating yourself. Just the whole piercing thing is a total turnoff to me -- although I do somehow tolerate pierced ears, but just barely.

it depends where it is i had a naval piercing but my brother got his neck pierced that was not nice to see as long as it is tasteful and the person who is pierced is happy with it then you only have one life may as well enjoy it

I have my belly button pierced and my ears, as long as a wear delicate jewelry i think it looks really nice.

It depends on what is pierced, ears no, nose yes, lip yes, nipples on a female no, belly button yes other intimate places yes.
