Take it from someone who has used this, its tricky. Be upfront and honest about what you want, will put up with, your looks, likes, ect. You will get a lot of responses, but few whom you will want to date. If you decide you found someone, meet in a public place, don't leave with him unless you feel he is trustworthy. Its tricky, it really is. I have been lucky so far, met some nice guys, dated 2, one whom I still am friends with, another whom I am serious about. That is rare. I am not saying it can't be done, took a long time for me to meet them, went through a lot of delete. lol. Hang in there, and dont sign up for anything you have to pay for, not worth it. Also, beware of guys who give you a song and dance routine about needing money, had bad rash of luck, work in africa. Hit delete and put them on permanent BLOck. Those are con artists. Don't fall for it. You will be able to tell who is ok and who isn't, thier Bio's tell it all.

The only way to know if online dating is right for you is to give it a try. Me personally I dont think I could ever meet up with anyone off of a computer, but thats just how I am. My cousin has been signed up on dating sites, and things like that for the longest, and everytime he ends up hooking up with someone they turn out to be completely different from how they portray themselves to be, and things end up not working out so to me it isnt worth it, but you really end up having simular problems if you just go out to a club, or somewhere with friends, and meet someone so I guess it just have to do more with right timing... when your meant to find someone worth your time you will.

Online dating is a waste of time keep looking in the face to face world or you will be stuck in your house with the cat waiting for some jerk that is probably married to email you back....

i dont like clubs/pubs/bars and have been using a site supposedly a sex site but full of people looking for something serious or just for a fun talk ---- i met a few ladies that did not work out long term and have now met a lady (online and distant) that i have fallen for hook line and sinker --- it can work if you ignore the dross and the advertising and are prepared to get into the chat room and have some fun --- best wishes

Online dating is okay if you know the person lives not too far away from you. Otherwise, it can never work out if you guys won't be able to make a visit in person.
