I have been in a relationship for 5 years with this guy i meet on yahoo messenger and i am very much in love with him however we havent really managed to meet up simply because we live 7 seas apart! i wonder if anyone else is in the same situation and wants to share how they feel?and how do u manage to keep it going?doesnt the distance sometimes seem endless?and if so how should one manage?

I met my current girlfriend online. We talked online for about a year. She then moved in with me. We've been together for 5 and a half years. It gets hard at times, but it's worth it if you truly believe in it.

I don't think I could ever date a guy that far away, and still be with him 5 years later if we've never met. How do you know that he isn't just messing with you? I met my fiance on yahoo personals but we were from the same state.

well today i have known my lady 18 months she is half a world away and i really dont want it to go much longer without meeting and just finding out if there really is a long term relationship for us --- after 5 years i would suggest you really need to meet and one of you move closer to the other --- i dont think my lady would wait 5 years and i know i dont want to wait that long to meet ---- best wishes
