I've read numerous answers to various questions by Christians saying that Jesus is dead. For example, a question just now asked something to the effect of "Why doesn't Jesus intervene when children suffer?" Two answerers so far said "Because Jesus is dead. It's God that should intervene."

Okay, so he doesn't walk the earth anymore, and true he died on the cross, but did these people not continue to read on in the Bible that he rose three days later?!?!

Jesus lives people!!

Edit: Why do some CHRISTIANS think Jesus is dead?

I know that you athiests don't believe he ever existed. I don't need to hear about that.

No Jesus dose not live, in "FACT" there is absolutely not one ounce of proof that Jesus ever existed other than what the bible tells us, and If you were to do some research you would find that the story of Jesus actually came out of Egypt it's an Egyptian story and that's all it is, man has exploited, abused, and used this story for personal wealth and control from it's conception, and no where is there any credible evidence that he ever existed, you can believe what ever you want but truth dose not come from the bible.

Sorry to break it to you, but the Bible isn't true. Its testimony means zilch.

There are hundreds of people who will swear they've seen Elvis alive. That doesn't change the fact that he's dead.

(I don't think you'll hear any Christians saying he's dead. It's only atheists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, Confucians, Daoists, Baha'is, Zoroastrians, etc who say that.)

with all due respect
where is he then ?

edit
I am not Atheist , and although I am not Christian ... I do believe that Jesus existed
so I ask you ... if he isn't dead , where is he ?
if you say in Heaven ... then that is a spiritual place , not a physical
if you say he lives in the hearts of believers , then again that is not a physical existence

Um, he's dead. If he ever lived at all (which is debatable) nobody could live 2000 years.

Except maybe Santa Claus.

Well he was the grounds keeper at my office. Nice guy and an amazing guitar player.

The other one in the Bible probably didn't exist and if he did he died of crucifixion.

Edit: Well you asked. ;-)

Umm....no. If he existed at all, he died two thousand years ago.

You really shouldn't be so gullible as to swallow those stories hook, line and sinker.
