Rate these British soldiers.?

Question

As a Brit i am very interested to know what my American friends think of the following British military units. Royal Marines, Paras, SAS, SBS.

I am after comments about Each of the units mentioned please

I'm not to sure of the Special Boat Service, but all the others are helo in high regard by Aussie troops, I was one for a short while, Australian soldiers will tell you their SAS is the best, My uncle was a royal marine in England I've no doubt they're as good as anything.

Everyone always like to think that their own countries best of the best are the best in the world... Really the reality is that they are all good at their job and everyone in the world would rather be on the same side as them rather than fighting against them.

While it is annoying to read everyone arguing about who is the best unit or has the hardest training ect it is a necessary evil as half of their power to overcome lies in how elite the public and their enemy perceives them to be, healthy competition also drives people to train harder, become better and to believe that they are the best themselves and we all know that self belief can make the imposible possible and seeing as though this is their job then it is an important aspect.

Sorry, never worked with any of those Units, so I'd rather not comment on them.
Only had the opportunity to work with one British Officer in my 22 years and he was rather a dried up fellow. No sense of humor and did little but go on about how we Americans slaughtered the English language.
