I have very low ceilings in my house, and also have a ceiling fan. Many times I have reached up to take off my shirt, and hit the ceiling fan. I have never been cut, but your reflexes sure come into play pretty quickly. The blades are wooden, so are not sharp. But, I always feel foolish!

Most newer home ceiling fans have wood blades that could not cut anything. Also the motors are not very powerful. You can grab the blades while they are spinning.Older or commercial fans with steel blades might be a different story.

Yes. It will not cut off your hands.
Not exactly a bright idea to stick your hands up into the blades when they are turning.
Why would you want to do that anyway?

Been there done that......many times. Broke my hand doing it in South America at a bar when I stood on the table and yelled Viva America while throwing my hands in the air. That was my only injury. It was worth it though. The nurse at the hospital was hot and I got a date out of it.

it depends...if its like steel fans or somethin and their going at top speed-- u'll probly break em get sliced pretty bad.. ik that me nd my brother fool around nd we put our hands on woodin fans (uk hanging from the ceiling) and nothin ever happens-- we leave wit a bruise or two.

yeah but it will probably leave a pretty painfull bruise maybe like if its just ya fingers it could brake them, but they wouldt get chopped of.

SUre, just don;t put your head up in them THAT Hurts! My kids put their hands in them all of the time.
