to tell if a kitten has worms you can take them to a vet to get them tested. most kittens are actually born with worms. usually the first signs are not being as active, sometimes it can be eating but not gaining/losing wieght. most of the time a kitten with worms will show in the belly. if the kitten has a very rounded tummy it could be worms. kittend who are just chubby have a more curved ovaled tummy, kittens with worms are more rounded like a softball. it also depends on the type of worm. the most commont worms for kittens are roundworm and tapeworm. these worms invade the stomach and intestinal tract. usually if your kitten has worms it will show in its feces. next time your kitten goes to the litter box, watch to see if it poops. if it does, DO NOT LET THEM BURY IT! you may be able to see on the surface if there are worms, if not take a stick and break it apart. look for small white worms that look kind of like magotts, or look for tiny white dots. if there isnt any evidence in the feces i dont think you have too much to worry about. if you are still worried take the feces in a plastic zip lock baggie and take it to the vet and ask them to test for worms. it should take 5-20 minutes depending on the vet/ how busy they are. make sure to label the bag of feces if it is from te male or female so they dont get mixed up. GOOD LUCK!

Take your kittens to the vet, and bring a stool sample from each kitten. Not all parasites are visible to the naked eye, so your vet will run a test on the stool samples to be sure. However, a fat tummy is a pretty good sign of worms in a young animal.

One way to find out is of course, is to take both of them to get checked. You should anyway. They will need their shots soon. Also look at their feces. If they have worms, you might see eggs in the feces, and also around their anus after eliminating. Cats will lick themselves and if they have worms, it gets on their tongue from self cleaning. It's important to keep that in mind if they will be around people. They easily spread it to other cats as well. As for Spay and Neuter, you wait until they are about 5 months. What is nice about getting it done, is that the male won't wander and "spray" to mark territory. It's just much better for you and the cats. Good luck.

Has your kittens had shots yet? If not you really need to take them to get them. The best thing to do is let the vet tell you whether or they have them. You wouldnt want your cats to get seriously sick. The longer you wait the worse it will get. While you are there ask them about the spaying and neutering i think you can get the boy taken care of before the girl but im not positive,

my next door neibours cat had worms and you could tell by it eating ALOT. and coming straight out agian. so it had to constantly eat because it was just coming straight out the other end again.
go to the vets and they will give you all the advice you need about when to get them done and if they have worms they will treat them.

I did a project about tapeworm. if you want to find out if he (or she) has tapeworm, just check it's poo. If you dont want to, you can go to a vet and get him (or her) to give him (or her) a shot and a oral shot. if they dont eat that much or start to look really thin contact a vet. just make sure it isnt heartworm.
