How is consensual sexual relations between consenting adults in any way comparable to raping children? If it is comparable than pedophilia would be comparable to any sexual relations, even those between a husband and wife.

Homosexuality hurts no one. How can anyone consider a loving relationship to be wrong?

Just curious...But what do you consider pedophilia? Sex or sexual activity or desire with a minor OR sex or sexual activity or desire with a pubescent child?
Because I think the two are very different. A 17 year old having sex with a 90 year old man (exaggerating the age) is not the same as a 15 year old molesting an 8 year old.

I would say there is no comparison at all
Over the years Ive known many Gay People
Many of them would have made far better Parents than some so called straight People I have know and have been just as much against Child abuse as the rest of us
Of coarse there are going to be abuses like in every other section of the community
To group them as a whole is like saying every white Person is Racist

You know, if you read the bible literally, of course you will reach the conclusion that homosexuality is a sin.
I do not take the bible literally.
Everything in the bible has a spiritual message.
Yes, in the old testament it says its a sin, however, so are countless others which we don't follow.
The bible does say this:
2 Timothy 3:16 (King James Version)
16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
WHICH MEANS:
If people in bible times were discriminating against gay people and saying its a sin, than we are commanded by god to not follow this.
Adultery is a sin, but not homosexuality.
We now know more about biblical times than we ever knew before in the history of our country.
I know my opinion is not popular, but I would rather be hated for something I am, rather than be loved for something I am not...

I don't compare the two, except to say that both are sin. So is heterosexual relations outside of marriage, and so is stealing, and so is lying. Which is the worst sin? Well my opinion is that pedophilia goes beyond any other in its depravity, the grossest of the gross, if you will. Perhaps murder is worse, but not by much.
James O, do you honestly mean to imply that a child is even ABLE to consent? Even able to understand the ramifications of consenting? Please, a child does not know enough to make that determination, that is why pedophilia is illegal in the first place.

i suspect that many paedophiles reassure themselves by telling themselves over and over that what they are doing is no worse than homosexuals do.
in my experience a majority of fundamentalist fathers take an obsessive interest in their daughters' sex lives. they might not all touch, but they seem to spend a lot of their day thinking about touching.
when people point a finger at someone else they are usually trying hard not to notice the fingers pointing at them.

Homosexual men are 700% more likely than straight men to have been sexually abused as a child. Sad, but true. Ephebophilia is a sex act between an adult and a teen of either sex
Pederasty is a homosexual sex act between an adult male and a teen boy
The above terms are used whether or not the sex is consensual
