Alright first of all, Im only 14 turning 15 but I am an expert in this kinda stuff, the ps3 offers way more for way less, it has a bluray player, a good one too, proven to be better than the first bluray player to ever come out, the $1000 samsung one, the ps3 also has wireless built in, and free online, sure xbox live is better, but sony doesn't have experience yet for online gaming, besides, ''Home'' looks promising. If you don't know what that is, it's a virtual world where you can make your own apartment, design it however you want, and meet people online, its just like real life, search it if you want. Here is a comparison of the low end and high end versions of the ps3 and 360

360 premium
ethernet
hdmi(not as good as ps3 though)
2 usb

40gb ps3
ethernet and wireless built in
hdmi
2usb
outstanding bluray player

360 elite
everything the premium has but black and has 120gb hd

80gb ps3
everything 40gb ps3 has but 4 usb, mutimedia card slots(memory card from camera, camcorder, etc.)

and get this, ninga gaiden 2 already puts the xbox 360 technology at its best, while the best exclusive game for ps3 only uses 33% of its power and technology. The 360 scratches disks when moved or not moved at all and has poor reliability, while the ps3 cannot scratch disks and if it did, it is extremely rare, plus, it can survive a 3 feet fall while its on and running, im not sure about a fall that's higher than that, but im sure it'll still survive. Get the ps3.

Well, if you judge a system by its fanboys, you should definitely get a PS3.

These 360 fanboys are getting more and more desperate. As I recall, it's 59.99 for a PS3 game, and it's 59.99 for a 360 game. Can someone explain to me how the 360's 59.99 is cheaper than the PS3's 59.99. I went to college, and they taught me that 59.99 = 59.99. When did that change?

The Elite is 449.99 and all you get is 120 gb hard drive and a 360. Pay 50 bucks more for the 60/80 gb PS3 and you got yourself a 60/80 gb hard drive, a PS3, a Blu-ray player, Wi-Fi adapter, free PSN. To make the 360 the equivalent of what the PS3 can do, you need to add 170 bucks for the HD-DVD add-on, and then another 100 bucks for the MS Wi-Fi adapter. That would put the Elite at well over 700 bucks. Don't forget the 50 bucks year payment for XBL. The honor of paying 50 bucks just to play with someone else.

The 360 has already released it's big guns (Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect). The PS3 hasn't even released it's big guns yet (MGS4, Haze, Killzone 2, FFXIII, LittleBigPlanet).

More and more developers are moving towards the PS3 because of the Blu-ray disks. The more disks that a game appears on, the less profit that a company makes. Just look at Unreal Tournament III. Instead of giving both versions the same content (PS3 on Blu-ray and 360 on multilpe DVD-9), UTIII decided that the PS3 will have more content because Blu-ray holds more. Why not make it on multiple disks for the 360? Because it costs more.

Seeing that your Yahoo Answers user name is Halo 2 Master, I think that you already know which system you are going to buy anyways (Xbox 360). But I say get the PS3 even though I know that you're probably going to get a 360.

The 80GB PS3 has so many more features than the Xbox 360 Elite has for just $50 bucks more. Plus the Xbox 360 Elite's still can get the Red Ring of Death. The Wise decision would be to get a PS3. The PS3 has better technology, it's more reliable, it has more exclusive games coming in 2008, and it has the longer lifespan.

get PS3!!!! first of all, everyone saying that the ps3 is overpriced, the 40gb model is actually cheaper then the xbox 360 elite, but xbox has more games duhh!! its been out a year longer, but anyways, when i bought my ps3 my 360 hasn' t been turned on since, i suggest the ps3 because it is the future and graphics are matching 360's graphics and the ps3 still isn't running at full potential while the 360 is!!!!!!
hope this helps
