As you know I have 2 boys and a girl and my daughter is the hardest of the 3 she's moody and so stronged willed everythings a fight with her (not literally) for example I tell her she can't wear make-up for school but she can a little bit after school and at weekends omg would she do it no so in the end up I took all the make-up off her so now she can't have it on at all, the asda spraying incident (you know the one I mean lol) I'd only told her 2 days before not to go in there before school so what does she do ignore me then you know the rest although she's good in other ways she'd just rather learn the hard way I feel awful now, because she is a little sweetie aswell and I do love her very much but my boys are just so much laid back and easier to be around.

I definitely think it's harder for girls to be brought up then boys. Now I think most of the time it's about equal through out the ages until puberty hits and then the teenage years come.
The reason I say this is because look at the magazines for males playboy, sports illustrated, car magazines, gaming magazines, etc.....On the opposite end of the spectrum you have the female magazine's the Cosmos, Teen, Seventeen, etc.........
Putting articles on what you should wear, how you should dress, what make up to by, etc....Then you have the pressure of the fashion world and looking at models. So, females see constantly what they're supposed to do with themselves and how to dress, act, and be by trying to emulate the styles of the models or in this case trying too look like those models.
Which leads to bigger problems such as weight issues. Eating disorders are much more common in girls for a reason and it has to do with the culture we live in as well as the body type that they constantly see in movies, tv, and in their magazines. So is there really a wonder why more females have issues with major depression and eating disorders? Which can lead to definitely a harder time bringing up a child if they're not happy with who they are or how they look.

I think it depends on when you want to feel old. I have 3 boys and 2 girls.
My girls early on were a dream. Easy babies and toddlers. My oldest girl has now hit puberty and look out world! Although she isn't as bad as I was, thank GOD.
My boys on the other hand have given me a run for my money from the word go. What one doesn't think of the other one does. Boys are just way rowdy from the start and I don't know that they calm down all that much either.

No. I come from a family with 2 girls and 1 boy. My brother has ALWAYS been more trouble than me or my sister... or even both of us combined. I'm not saying that boys are harder to raise, but there is this common misconception that girls are difficult to bring up. It just depends on the individual.

They're only different. I had twin daughters, then a boy 10 years later. The main gender difference was when they were 12-16. The girls were sneaky, agreeing to do something, then not doing it. The boy was more straight forward, more likely to argue about rules and say no to our faces.
As a teacher, my favorite age for boys was 13-14, and my least favorite age for girls was 13-14!!

Well Bex as I have two daughters I can't really compare. What I can say though is the first born was very difficult - wilful, disobedient etc etc whilst the youngest was much easier. Strangely though now they are adults it is the other way round, the first born is the easier one to get on with! xx

I have 2 daughters and 3 stepdaughters. We then had 3 granddaughters, followed by 6 grandsons. Well, we didn't have a clue what to do with the boys -so we let them do what they want,up to a point !!
They know our rules- abide by them or go home.
(We just don't let them mention ch.ck fl.cks like pr.tty w.man or we delete them to the naughty step !)
