Well, if you really cared about him it should take a couple of months.
If you didn't care much for him, it should still take you a couple of months.
That way you won't do anything stupid like "rebounding" with a guy, and getting a little too attached too soon before you can clear your head and emotions.
Also, depending on how old you are, don't sleep with anyone for at least 6 months to 1 year.
Because if you get into a habit of sleeping with every guy that you date and then break up with, within 2 years you would have slept with about 4 guys.
Multiply that times the years before marriage and you'll be pretty much on your way to being a sleaze.
And you don't won't to share that number with a perspective spouse

It's your decision how long to wait. If you go out with another guy right after breaking up with a boyfriend, that's ok.

You don't ever have to wait to date another man. Me and my boyfriend just broke up and I can't wait to meet another guy who might have soulmate potentials. You need to find a new man now right away because this other guy doesn't want you. But he will when you find something better that's how life goes.

I think that is up to how you feel inside. And of course it depends on the person. I tend to get over relationships really easily so I don't usually give myself a time limit, but if you were really hurt by this experience you might need time to be by yourself to evaluate your feelings. But a set time limit shouldn't exist since everyone and every circumstance is different.

Time doesn't matter, just as long as you are ready to be with some one else and it feels right, then it doesn't matter when you and your ex broke up. Plus since he is the one that broke up with you, he cant give you crap for being with someone else.

theres no set time limit, its when your heart is ready, just make sure you don't jump into something serious and quick, just looking to mend your own feelings and heart, because you will end up hurting the new guy. Make sure you're genuinely ready to go out and face guys as themselves and not think or refer back to the ex

As long as it takes. I usually just mope around for a little while and get on with my life...then out of no where someone will ask you out and the cycle starts over again.

girl.. forget that little bastard! you go out and get yourself a new guy whenever YOU feel like you want one.. if you feel like you found a really cute guy today.. GO FOR IT. there is no rule anywhere saying we women have to mope and find the "right" time to go on another date. life is short. go have fun and try not to waste too much time being sad about a guy. =D your too good for that!

You don't have to wait at all, especially if you want a rebound guy. If you don't, just wait till you're ready to date again, depending on long that is.
