I had this problem, my solution came when I found out his favorite sports team. I bought him a few tshirts with the team logo. It was impersonal enough (we had only been dating 2 weeks) so that he didn't think I was psycho, (plus I couldn't justify spending too much money on someone I hadn't been dating very long) but it was personal enough that I was still being a girlfriend ... it's a fine line, but I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

*By the way, what made it personal was that it's not just his favorite team, he's a MAJOR fan, so it showed that I knew something about him ... I don't know if that makes sense but I hope you get the point.

When questions like this are hard, paying for entertainment is often an excellent alternative.
Of course, if you're in the age range where one's having sex after 4 weeks, a whole other set of possibilities opens up, but I'm guessing you're much younger than that. ;)
