I'm american....There is no size that is fat (until you get up near the 20's). There are women that wear a 12 or 14 that are actually pretty firm (granted that is kind of rare). I remember a few years ago seeing an article that called Charleze Theron and Catherine Zeta Jones plus size because they were a size 8! That was utterly ridiculous!! Any normal person who looks at those women would never ever call them fat. If you wanna know if you are "fat" get a scale that measures body fat percentage. This is a much more accurate way of accessing how "fat" you are.

American when you cant wear a 12 thats when you are fat especially if you have a hanging stomach going over your waist because...some women aren't really fat they are just amazon like but all muscle. So sometimes its hard to say all my girls have been 4 through 10 and none of them had stomachs.

I used to work in Banana Republic and what the fickle media calls fat like is like J-lo and Kim Kardasian, that is not fat at all they just have a protruding backside which is my favorite and to me is beauty. By the way these two women before they lost the weight looked perfect to me. Rosario Dawson and Beyonce are perfect also.Although Rebecca Romain looks good just not that Calvin Klien model look stuff that looks sickly and anorexic..I don't see why a guy would like that.

Catherine Zeta Jones wearing a 8 is perfect what are they talking about ...also Jennifer love Hewitt wasn't that bad she could tighten up but she was no Obese woman I would talk to her in an instant. I'm glad she said what she said women eat and be happy..that model viewpoint is solely for runway!!! They need models to represent the sillouette of the clothes nothing more.

hmmm... i would probably say... a 16 is heavier? Yeah, about that size. People who are this size or over or whatever SHOULD NEVER TAKE PEOPLE who criticize them or call them "fat". You see, I used to wear a 0 to a 1, and i was so happy. This year, i gained weight, and i wear anywhere from a size 2 to a size 7, not b/c of my thighs, but because of my hips. And girls, guys like curves. Only under-developed guys like size 00s!

They have a chart in physical education: Women
anything under 5'3" is small and should wear a size 4 or under.
5'3" can wear a size 6 to 8.
5'4" can wear a size 8 to 10
5'6" can wear a size 12 to 14 medium
5'8" can wear a size 16 to 18
the same for any height above this.

i would say nething above a 16 its big, not FAT. There is a huge difference between being big and fat! as long as ur not sloppy and u have some toned muscle to you, ur good. And you can be above a size 16 and still be healthy. Thats ALL that matters, dont let ne one tell u any differently

I'd say maybe a 16 in American sizes is where it starts to get a little big.

Probably a British 20, but if I ever have to get a 14 I feel fat... even though I know it really isn't.
