Is there such thing as garageband for a PC?

Imacs cost money, which i dont have. Therefore i was curious if there was such things as a garage band for a PC that had the same quality.

the simple answer is no.

the complex answer is yes, with caveats.
you could get Cubase and some of Propellerhead's software and come close to Garageband (better in some areas, more difficult to learn, but not all in one application)
