I see several people have recommended Zicam. I have never used it, but I suspect it has Zinc in it (from the name). We have found that if we begin taking zinc as soon as we have the slightest symptoms it nips a cold in the bud. We take 1 50 mg capsule twice a day the first two days, then go to 1 a day for 3 or 4 more days. It seems like the cold never develops into a full blown whopper. Always take it with some food in your stomach and as usual, drink tons of fluids. This has been more effective for us that vit C, which you can overdose on, it can upset your stomach and it can give you a rash. No thanks. good luck getting better before Christmas.
PS If you are running fever you need to see a doctor because you may have an infection of some kind, which can turn to pneumonia.

Have you tried Zicam? You can buy it at pretty much any pharmacy. It comes in an orange and white box and it is homeopathic so it won't make you feel drugged at all. It shortens the duration of your cold. My family swears by it. My personal favorite are the nasal swabs. They are easy to use and work great. You can also try getting something called Wellness Formula. You can get it at stores like Whole Foods. It is packed with every cold fighting supplement under the sun and also works wonders. It is doesn't have the best taste so I suggest taking it with juice or something to wash it down easily. But if you follow the directions it will get you feeling better very soon!

Colds and flu affect most people at some point. Common colds are minor upper respiratory infections caused by hundreds of different viruses and are highly contagious. Influenza is one of the most common infectious viral diseases. The flu may be prevented in many people who receive the flu vaccine. Bird flu is caused by viruses that in rare cases may spread from birds to people.

Usually, what I have when I have a cold is.. I have a hot lemon and honey drink. I also have a ginger drink. It says in a magazine that honey and onion is a good remedy? I'm not sure.I think that Dimetapp helps. I get better in no time.

excercise- seriously, never fails to work for me, you feel rough at the beginning, but about 25 or 30 mins into it (being aerobic/cardeo type workouts) and the full hour later (excercising 45 to 60 mins in total) and after a warm shower, your feel much better.

a doctor and a good course of antibiotics. if you've had symptoms for more than a month, you could have pneumonia which will only worsen.
