No matter how smart we men think we are, we never seem to recognize when a women is interested (we usually find out from someone else). You could try letting a mutual friend know or be direct and tell him.

Unlike what most people believe, boys like 'touch'. If you find that he is uncomfortable with you touching him (such as hugging, holding hands, sitting very close to each other), then he is most probably uncomfortable around YOU.
If he seems comfortable, then you might as well pop the question of 'Do you like me?' BEWARE OF WAYLAYING ANSWERS such as 'Um... yeah... sure... Let's... watch the movie okay?'
I would suggest asking it somewhere with little distraction, not in front of a movie screen, not in front of his friends (for he might feel uncomfortable admitting amiability in front of them), and preferably NOT with your parents.

Ask a friend to ask him who he likes or just ask him a homework question and then ask him for his aim so you can ask more because you are totally confused??
