Because God wanted to see if anyone had enough backbone to live life on their own.
God wants men to stop giving God so much credit and become "gods" of their own...
JESUS: "I'll make people - I need the company and the entertainment..."
THE FATHER: "Cool, but you know they're gonna want to be your slaves - they ain't gonna know nothing and they'll make up all kinds of stories, etc, etc..."
Holy Spirit: "True Dat... They'll inevitably find a way to avoid responsibility and they'll make up all kinds of religions to make themselves feel better about death and all that."
Jesus: "Hey, remember the Flying Spaghetti Monster? He said he wasn't gonna make NOBODY! and if we do Make people, don't tell them about HIM!
THE FATHER: He is definitely a loner.
Holy Spirit: Let's do it! At the very least, we'll get good laughs!

In the sense of the word 'created', that is by a supernatural entity, we were not, All that is a confidence trick, a scam, played upon ancient mankind and foolishly perpetuated to this day by the deluded who have convinced themselves that it is true. Wishful thinking does not make anything false become true.
There is no purpose. We are just here through accident and co-incidence,
The only purpose for your life is the one that you make for yourself.

To glorify God for He is great.
It is in God's nature to be great so He manifest His greatness in His creations.
Why do you draw a beautiful painting? In essence, it is because through our creation, we displayed our talent/skill and express ourselves.
Love is also in God's nature, hence He sent His one and only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die for us on the cross while we were still His enemy. So by believing, we may not perish and instead have everlasting life and a relationship with Him.

We were created by God to love Him. Different from Angels in that He gave us free will to choose to love Him back!
Course have to say, that is only partly true, as Angels do have a choice too. The ones who chose to follow Satan chose to fall with him, The rest chose to worship God forever!

i dont know. i guess ill just say we are here because thats what the universes function was. it does certain things and has certain rules. thats why we can use science. we came to be just through a function of something much larger than ourselves.
