ok, should i get my cartlidge pierced, w/ the barbell? how does it feel? & how do they pierce it? thnx

It hurts enough with a stud, and it takes forever to heal.

Ear cartilage is a painful piercing. I have 13 piercings (10 in my ears with 3 of those in cartilage, a labret piercing, tongue, and bellybutton) and the worst ones were in the cartilage. There's a lot more tissue there than in your earlobes or other places. I don't recommend either barbell or stud. Depending on where you get it pierced (either the mall, or in a professional piercing studio), they either use a piercer earring with a sharp tip, or a needle, and they put the jewelry in after piercing with the needle.
It's your own decision, but personally, it's a painful experience no matter how you do it.

Yeah it hurts, but not for long. It is just a sharp pain and then it stings abit. Also, it hurts to sleep on the side you get it done on for a while.
I had mine done with needles. I wear barbells in three out of my four cartlidge piercings i have. I wear a bar in the fourth because of where it is.

I have mine pierced and its not that bad....didnt really hurt, ok maybe for like 5 sec....but its the 2nd time i have had it done. The first time it got really infected, but this one is doing much better, you just have to take care of it

Any professional place will pierce you with a needle. If they have a gun, run & never go back there. It hurts, a lot. It makes sleeping awkward, but it does look attractive when it's done.

ok ya it hurts but not that bad
at trust me im a wuss
i almost cried but the pain took like 15 sec. and it went away
and i like it
so many ppl in my school have it
i personally love it and iveonly had it for 3 months
it looks cute
