What you do and like makes up and defines you. If you are in any way effected by someone elses behavior or likes or dislikes then me personaly, I would think less of you.
EXAMPLE: I could be a genious and well educated but I may know my emotional tastes in relationships may favor a woman who is not. My happiness is therefor not contingent on one factor for me to be happy. Conversely if a woman I strike up a realtionship with me is far brighter than I would not feel "lesser" since intelect is only one side of a realationship. I would however think less of both of my partners if they thought something was wrong with the relationship simply because we don't stress the same thing. Acheivements are in the same catagory as intelligence here if you see what I am saying.

Yes, but show him the things you need him for and he'll love you for it.

If you like to run then run, if he's too insecure to be happy for your accomplishments then do you really want him? Love isn't sacrificing everything for someone. If you can't be who you are with him you're not giving him a chance to love you. In the long run you'll resent him for things he doesn't know about.
