I am really curious to know if everything that we are and have in present time is a random occurance meaning that there is no ID-how do you know we turned out right?
Please be polite. I am not asking to attack you. I am asking to know your opinion.

We turned out right because our species survived.

Not only us, but the mice, the sequoia trees, the sea nettles, and every other critter that lives. It has evolved to fit our current environments. If we didn't, we wouldn't have made it through the eons.

Well to say that evolution happens by chance it a lack in understanding of natural selection.

The only thing random about evolution is random genetic mutation, which is fact, not a theory. It has been observed in the lab and in nature.

Natural selection is anything but random, during these mutations some of them will inevitably be better adapted than others. The organisms with these traits will have an advantage. So what happens is that which each successive generation these superior traits outnumber the inferior ones. Then these new sets of traits undergo mutations of their own, starting the whole process over again. This is how speciation occurs.

You see the diversity of life arise from different environmental demands from different environments around the globe, and the resulting differences in the desired traits.

Nature and evolution has no consciousness and therefore not concept of "turning out right" other than surviving.

The fact that you are alive today means that an unbroken line of parents and grandparents and older ancestors stretching back to the first living things each survived long enough to produce offspring and pass their genes for survival to the next generation. So, to answer your question, you know you "turned out right" to some extent because you're here and to another extent if you sucessfully pass your genes onto your children. That is all genes are designed for and their success or failure is measured solely in those terms.

the human spine is optimised for walking on all fours. as a result almost all humans suffer some degree of back problem if they live for more than forty years (because walking upright isn't good for our kind of spine).

the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, and the right the left, because the spinal column rotates a full 180 degrees while leaving the skull. this suggests strongly that our heads were completely twisted a full turn in the course of our evolution (just like in the 'exorcist').

had you ever noticed that the human clitoris is not in the best place to have orgasms? (there is an evolutionary explanation for this too).

maybe you don't like orgasms - but i know people who do.

Evolution is not random. Positive adaptations make the organism more able to survive and pass along its genes. Negative adaptations make it more likely that the organism will die out. This is very different from randomness.

How do I I know we turned out right? I am not exactly sure what you mean but in many ways we did not turn out right. Why would God use ID to create wisdom teeth when they do more harm than good?

How do we know we turned out right? The thing is, there is no right or wrong. We turned out as we did, the best we could to survive and prosper in our environment. No need to say that we were supposed to turn out this way, this is how nature made us.

P.S. Saying people believe in evolution is also silly. Do you believe that you breath air?

No one "believes" in evolution - they accept it as the best theory we have at the moment.

No, things are not just random. There is a very complex and well ordered system to the universe that derives from the simple characteristics of matter and energy.

The question presumes there is a right or wrong way to turn out. There isn't. Evolution is not trying to make things turn out one way or another according to some plan, it's just a process that happens.

seeing as i believe in evolution, i wouldn't say that there is a "right" or "wrong" way people could have, or have, turned out, because that would imply that a creator intended for people to be a certain way, and according to evolution, living things were not created by god.
and thank you, by the way, for wording a touchy question politely.

"how do you know we turned out right?"

Who says there's a "right" and a "wrong"?

We can survive and pass on our genes. That's all the "right" that really needs to be achieved.

If anything, how we are today is an argument AGAINST "Intelligent Design", because if the myriad of flaws in human physiology were intentional, the Designer needs to lay off the sauce.

What ever gave you the idea that evolution was random? There is a mechanism that drives it. It just isn't anything that is intelligent. I mean seriously, nothing intelligent would do all the stupid crap that biology did.
