The hydraulic press. Did you know Pascal created the hydraulic press? I didn't. He also invented one of the first syringes. Just thought you would like to know.

I did know that for some reason. He was actually quite the genius which is what makes his wager so perplexing. It's one of those things that sounds reasonable 'till you think about it for like 30 seconds.

Isn't drinking too much alcohol considered gluttony? one of the 7 deadly sins??? and gambling is a sin regardless right? Because you cant question god right? I have always wondered how pascal, in a sheer moment of stupidity managed to cook up the pascal wager. It the greatest proof that even genius have bad days.

I knew about the syringe, but not the press...cool! That is worthy of a drink...even though it is not a wager question... =)
