were all assuming it`s about green house gasses. Have u geniuses figured out that maybe the earth`s orbit may be off a tad considering we`ve been having alot of inner earthquake activity this last century, or were simply just going thru a transition like we did in the 70`s when they said were going thru an ice age and it never happened. I still have national geographic magazines that show it.

one eruption from a volcano equals 5000 years of man-made gasses from humans,so it can`t be a reason for global warming.

So you're saying that all the climatologists around the globe who have unitedly stated that man's activities are the primary cause of global warming are wrong?

Cristoi...: I don't have the statistics in front of me but I would offer this to support my statement. Exhibit A: George Bush. No one has had been more reluctant than him to accept the fact of global warming. And yet he's come around.

There is currently no need for world hunger. The earth produces at least twice the amount of food requried to feed the population. People are starving because food does not get to where it's needed thanks to raging conflicts and political expediency.

BTW: Positive results of global warming. For man perhaps. But what about the rest. Drowniing polar bears for instance.

And about National Graphic. I'm an avid watcher and they have had more than their fair share of programs on the causes and effects of global warming.

No real evidence except for possible natural causes that we can do nothing about. No one on this issue ever looks at the positives of global warming if it proves to be a fact.

It will end world hunger because plant growth will increase and more land will be producing food crops.

The tourist industry in the US. If the oceans rise New York city will be like Venice with gondola's in canals where the street was.

Antarctica will be a great tourist spot for winter sports.

More ocean ports.

The Northwest passage will aid commerce.

Actually Q & A Queen, most climatologists agree that it is not man made but it is just a natural cycle. It is mostly politicians and scientists of other disciplines that are saying the sky is falling, like chiropractors and the lot.

So what if we're wrong about us being the cause? Is it really that bad to go to renewable sources for energy? I don't know about you, but I'm not enjoying acid rain and the increased number of people suffering from asthma.

There have always been earthquakes. It wasn't until recently we've been able to detect so many of them.

And, actually, volcanoes cool the earth off.

You don't think that the earth's population is effecting the earth? That the pollution created by humans is effecting the earth? Cars, factories, chopping down trees, rotting trees, fossil fuels burning, none of that to you makes sense?

The ozone increasing in size, beach erosion, natures increasingly powerful storms don't help you realized that this could be happening?

Whether it is happening or not, it is our duty as humans to keep the earth clean. With all that we know and can do and accompolish-no one is looking out for us or this planet except us humans.
