why do you post stuff on religion and stuff......you should just choose what you believe....not what others believe

No

Usually just the first chapters of the book of Genesis and all scientific research related to the following: big bang, evolution, origin of life, laws of thermodinamics (which is all the same thing for them).

They are pretty accurate about other stuff

It's a common creationist ploy. It's called "quote mining" and relies on the assumption that the reader has never seen the original piece.

Talk Origins has a couple of web pages devoted to these if you ever need to look up an unfamiliar one, but the Darwin quote is the most common. Stephen Jay Gould pops up a fair bit, too.

it's not just Creationists (or Christians) who cherry-pick the Bible.

Yes. They do. You can pick and choose passages from the bible based on your own needs. So why not from a scientific based book?

Ask yourself this: how many creationists have you ever encountered that actually understand what evolution is?

Creationists, freethinkers, mongoose salesman, all take things out of context for the sake of their argument, so don't discriminate.
