Yes, in fact it is the best way to do it, because you need to fold your egg whites in, not beat them. If you beat your egg whites in they won't be fluffy like they are supposed to. Make sure that you have your waffle iron ready to go before you start. Im a chef in training so I know these things. Remember if you overmix it, your waffles will be tough.

INGREDIENTS 3 eggs 3/4 cup milk 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup butter 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Place butter in a 10 inch cast iron skillet and heat the skillet in oven. Beat eggs at high speed with an electric mixer. Slowly add the milk and flour. Pour batter into hot skillet. Return skillet to oven and bake for 20 minutes. It will rise like a souffle, then fall when taken out of oven. Lightly dust with powdered sugar and serve.

What a bunch of clowns answering this. You can make it without an electric mixer you just have to beat it by hand and it's a little more work. Use a whisk.

Never use an electric mixer to make waffles, the batter should be lumpy. Beat it by hand with a wooden spoon but only until mixed. Now, do your grammar homework.

I use an old fashion hand mixer; the one with the crank that you have to actually turn by hand!
Since it belonged to my grandmother (she died in 1986), I only use it for special occassions, birthdays and Christmas morning.
I think some of the hardware stores, like Ace & True Value, still sell them.
A wire whisk works well.

Don't strain yourself or anything.
But take a metal whisk or a wooden spoon... and mix the ingredients in a large dish until the desired level of thickness/thin-ness is reached.
Then enjoy the fruits of your labor.

NO, it is physically impossible to blend dry mix and water without power beaters. Don't try, your arm could literally fly right out of the shoulder socket.

I agree with Chris C.
You have to follow your friends recipe to the letter. You even have to use the same milk, eggs and water coming from his house.
