Is there a Difference between an Electronic Ticket or a Electronic Ticket Itinerary Receipt?

Because I have the receipt? Are they the same thing?

Is there some way I could see a picture example of an Electronic Ticket?

Instead of a physical ticket, you're given a 6-digit alphanumeric number that the airline looks up called a Personal Name Record, or PNR (many places call it different things on the surface, but often made generic to "record locator", "reservation code" and so forth). When you check in, they look for that number, or if you don't have it, your name and flight number, then they'll issue a boarding pass.

On some airlines, this process is automated to a kiosk where you enter your name and some identifying information provided at time of booking and VOILA, your ticket is issued sans human.

Oh and epatton, grow up.

Ha Ha ha Ha..... I'm so sorry but I just couldn't keep from laughing at your question. The reference to electronic simply means that you did the ticketing over the internet and you print out your ticket from the final page of the process. Therefore, the slang name of 'electronic ticket' was coined.

I'll quit laughing now and don't take this personal please. People laugh at me all the time. I just treat it like a good source of humor.

you don't actually get a ticket, when you get to the airport to check in it is all in the computer. Just print your itinerary to be on the safe side, that's all you need to do

have a great trip
