If your PC and PS3 are hooked up via router you can enable Media Server function. This allows you to access multimedia files, located on your PC from PS3 without downloading them via LAN (Local Area Network - router connection). Enable it from PS3 menu and you'll see Media Server icon under Photo, Music and Video.
Windows Media Player 11 supports this function, but the best program is tversity http://www.tversity.com/ - its free. Install it on your PC and follow the instructions.

You can plug the Ethernet cable into you router. If you have a wireless connection you can use your ps3 wireless through the router. To move files just get a usb storage device.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

You can't hook it directly to your PC you need to plug both into a router. You hook the modem to the router and plug the PC and PS3 to the router ports and your ready to go. If you have a wireless router it probably has 4 hard wire ports on it ( most do) just hook up with cat5 cables and you're set.

examine your information superhighway suggestions on top of issues Panel. I guess it is desperate to continually use your previous USB modem to create a connection. in case you went for the period of the "New Connection" wizard, then you definitely would desire to tell it you have a LAN connection. the laptop would not would desire to concern itself with PPPoE or PPPoA or the rest, because of the fact your new router makes the relationship for you.
