I have a gray cat who, last I saw, when she saw a mouse go by, she reached out one paw, but didn't get up. My orange cat brought me a mouse almost every day last summer! And my tuxedo cat circled and circled a bush, but the mouse had already crossed the sidewalk and was long gone. (Yes, they are city cats and not hurting for food.)

Could be true, but are they so HUNGRY?
It is not so recommendable anymore to eat mice like in the Middle Age...
And yes, i.e. WHITE CATS ("aristocats") do not chase or eat mice
also Birmanese and Persian cats.

Unless it comes in a can and plops on a plate, the only thing my gray cat catches is fish breath.....

and an occasional mole out in the yard.
