I don't think sticking the bible in there is going to help. Try a phone book instead, it's much bigger.

Jesus can help. The Bible can help, but only if you respond to its teachings about Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Church may not appeal to you now, but that may very well change after you invite Jesus into you heart.

What you need to do is confess to God that you are a sinner and that you accept the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross as the payment for your sin. Ask Jesus to come into you heart and be your Lord and Savior.

As far as church, there are many different ones around, they are not all the same. There are some that are very casual, have modern upbeat worship music, and don't ask you to dress up to attend. There are also those that are the opposite. The important thing is that they teach the Gospel. But, it is to Jesus you must come, Church is for fellowship and growth, Jesus is the way to salvation.

Yes the Bible will always help. But you should also find out what's making you feel this way. Are you lonely? Are you angry and can't forgive someone? Are you still inlove with someone, but your trying to move on? All this can be stopped and healed by prayer.
Though most turn to the church to heal themselves mentally, physically and spiritually; you don't need the church to find this humbleness. If you find a quiet place where it's only you and whom you pray to, Pray on your time...not anyone Else's. All prayers are answered.
So take the time and think this over and everything will be fine

Been there before!!!! If you truly believe in God, and sincerely pray, ask for forgiveness of all your shortcomings, I can promise you that you will have that void filled! I'm 100% positive. Cause I've done it. Its about being honest and sincere when you pray. Thats when the rewards come. Church does help! But you must be careful to find the right church. Not all churches are the same. And not all churches have "true" honest Christians. But no matter what, don't let anyone take away your faith and belief in God. He can bring you out of anything!

If you want to cover the emptiness up with a 3" thick slab of guilt and fear, go for it.
If you want to resolve it into happiness, find out who you really are. Yoga is a good place to start, then seek, seek. If you seek sincerely, and learn well, you will discover the middle way.

No, the bible can't really help. You could use it in the same fruitless way you have tried others things, like sex, but the result will be the same. Religion cannot help with that feeling of emptiness. You have to find your purpose and make meaning out of your life through your own effort.

Yes, the Bible can help. It has the answers you're looking for. Look up Genesis 10:2; 1 Chronicles 1:5 .

Put your trust in Jesus, and seek the council of God. Pick up Bible, but also seek out a Christian friend to pray with and to help guide you.

It is sorrow for sin. Is it premarital sex? If it is, then you are feeling this way because a part of you knows that what you are doing is wrong. If you want this terrible feeling to go away, then you must go through the process of repentance, and be forgiven through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Confess your sins to the Lord in sincere prayer. He will guide you as you seek for forgiveness, and to change your life. Repentance is a painful process, and it takes time. I pray that you may find relief.

Psalm 35 - This is a very strong and intense psalm. It is a long-winded and quite valuable. Do whatever you must do, but read this psalm on a daily basis. YOU are worth every part of God's dedication. God has chosen certain aspects of mankind to cultivate. There is a particular place in our lives that can only be fulfilled through GOD. Read His 10 Commandments and follow His Will, and your experience will be of a happy and "comforted" individual. This is a slow process and not one to be taken "lightly." YOU should talk with others as to their experiences. Many folk are "feeling" this way so you "need' to understand what others are thinking. Then you will not have that "emptiness" in your life anymore. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the GOD of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Quietly say, "Peace Be To This House." - Luke 10:5. This will cause those that you encounter in a room or a building to be "peaceful." This is something that you are seeking as well. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.
