Only those who have truly accepted Jesus will be saved, at least that is what I have always been taught. I was also taught never to question, but when you see so many good people who are NOT believers, how can we accept they will not be saved? We will all be called to account for our actions on judgement day, maybe then good non-believers will have a chance to plead their case. Hard question.

Check with Karma. There is a balance sheet in the eighth level of consciousness called karmic storage. It's kind of a super Excel spreadsheet. The numbers at the bottom have cloud icons, or flame icons attached. The majority wins..

Jesus said "Do unto others as you would want done to you"
That is the way you will be judged. Not by what religion that you belong to. Not by how many prayers you have offered. Not by how much you gave to the church. Not by what you believe but by what you do. That is the belief of almost all religions. It is just a shame that they do not practice what they preach. I think that the biggest question is going to be to religious leaders. "YOU DID WHAT IN MY NAME"

God has a book called The Book of Life. We will be judged from this Book. Read Revelation.

I believe that everyone--those who can love, and those incapable of love--will be rejoined with God upon death, because I believe that we are all a part of God. However, those who are incapable of love or who refuse to love will not recognize the rejoining, even when it happens.

It only hinges on one thing.
Who is Jesus to you? Is he your Lord, God and Savior?
Have you accepted the atonement he made for your sins?
If you answer yes to these than you will stand before God blameless and without spot on that day.
The Bible is clear that good works will not cut it.

He's already decided. The only way that anyone can get into heaven is if they have accepted Jesus as their Saviour. If a person hasn't done that, they're out.

You can't be good enough to get into heaven with Christ. God set the rules. A part of Him went to the Cross of Calvary and bore the shame of it. He did this for you and me. He expects everyone of us to get to know His Son, Jesus the Christ. He called His Son a Branch. That Branch was from Him. God wants to know us personally. If you reject Jesus, then God will reject you. God made it simple. God says His Son was given for you and me. To reject God's gift of salvation is to reject God Himself.

If he's as loving as he's purported to be, then he will judge all on their actions.... not their beliefs.... and not their religion. Otherwise... a lot of good people would go to hell simply because they questioned his existence. Like me... I'm a good person... and if I go to hell for questioning... when I was created and trained to question... then what kind of loving god is that?
