why is there an expiration dqate on sour cream????? I just noticed it today!

I think it attracts bears after a certain date.

Actually, sour cream, despite having non-pathogenic bacteria present when it's "good," will still spoil if given enough time. It can develop mold and and other evil things that you definitely don't want to consume.

There is an expiration date on sour cream because, like all fresh dairy products, it SPOILS.

hehe believe it or not...sour cream goes bad after a while. I wouldn't recommend eating mouldy sour cream!

apparently you've never seen sour cream after it's been opened and in the fridge for a while....then you would know! :o)

There should be. Look on rim of lid or underneath. Yours could be printed on the side of the container somewhere, too. May be smudged.
