if i bring an american ps3 back to britain and buy a british game would it work on it or is the ps3 region coded?

Yes, the game'll work. PS3 games are region free, but movies and PS1/2 games aren't. You'll need a good power converter (500W).

Yes, the games will work, and also the PS3 is designed to accept electrical inputs of both 240v and 120v.

All you will need to do is get on of those plugs for converting the power, or buy a British ac cord for the PS3.

Also, and most people don't realize this - but most BluRay movies are region free too, so many of them will also work.

the ps3 is unlocked for regions or whatever so you can use your american one there but idk if british plug ins are different but you prob. know if they are or not
