Sheesh! If you were more familiar with the Good Book you would know exactly where to find "Blessed are the Coke drinkers." Its in the chapter devoted to the worship of junk food, a favorite among fundie fatties. Read your Bible.

But no Coca-Cola did not invent Christmas. Christmas in some form has been celebrated for ages. Actually a lot of our current celebration go back to the Roman Empire, some to the Middle Ages and several to Victorian England. Unless you believe that Victorian England was invented by Coca-Cola.

you are thinking of santa. Coca- Cola come up with santa . he was first just an old dude in red long-johns drinking a coke painted on a plate , as a ad. for Coca- Cola around Christmas time in 1933.

Actually, christmas has been around a lot longer than coca-cola. Coca-cola is more reponsible for our current image of Santa Claus. Also, the bible does not mention christmas or father christmas.
Thanks Mark B. I knew that they did not invent Santa. I thought that they invented the current image. However, it seems like they just made it more popular than the other images with their advertising artwork. The current image was already around.

This sounds like one of the many claims forwarded to me from all her church friends... When my mom comes up with these strange Internet rumors/claims/urban legends... I send her to www.snopes.com to get the facts.
In this case... the modern image of Santa Claus was NOT invented by Coca-Cola.

Actually the Bible says nothing of the kind. God never told us when Jesus was born, just that he was. God did tell us the date, day, year and Jesus' age to the half year of when he died though.
Christmas is not in the Bible. His death is.
