Are you sure YOU know what "born-again" means?
True paraphrased- A certain man came to Jesus, Nicodemus a Pharisee. (notice it states clearly he was a Pharisee) He asked Jesus. "tell me lord how can I (a Pharisee)get to your kingdom?" Jesus replied; "you must be born again". (not via works or outward piety). Jesus did not like it when Pharisees would keep people from God based on their man-made traditions.
Read the gospels in context before posting. Jesus did not say, "Are you a Jew, and don't you know this?" NO! He said, "Are you not a teacher, and yet do not know this?"
Jesus said in explanation of being Born Again... "That which is born of flesh, is flesh. And that which is born of spirit is spirit." He did NOT say, "That which is born of the circumcised is a Jew, but the truth is, I don't like Jews."
Get a clue.

Asker:
Jesus was a Jew born to a Jewish woman.
Jesus is the "Word" of God which came from God's mouth. The Holy Spirit is the "Spirit" from inside God. All of this is in the Bible.
God/Jesus/Holy Spirit are all God. One and the same.
Before anyone discusses any type of important subjects, we need to read and study before talking about things we know nothing about.
Read and learn God's Word, here is a day by day outline on how to read and study the Bible:

That is not what Jesus means. When we are born again we are born into Jesus family & Jesus Is Jewish too.
To be born again is when we are born spiritual. This miracle happens when we confess Jesus Christ, our Lord & Savior & believe in our hearts He raised from the dead. (Confession of Faith.) Then we are born of God, born of His Spirit, cleansed by His blood, joint heirs with King Jesus & made part of the family of God.
And with this is adoption into Gods family with all the Abrahamic blessings also. We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in Heaven...
All Jesus Apostles & Disciples were Jews & some were not. But Jesus went to Israel first. When Jesus died on the cross & raised from the dead, this opened the way for people all over the world to be restored to God in addition to Jews.

The idea that there is important historical occurences centered around the teachings of a man named Jesus is simply an opinion of man and what he decides to do with His-story.
There is also the belief that there is important historical occurences. But what does it mean?
You can't simply tell me, I must tell myself, therefore you have to tell yourself what the meaning is.

To be born from above, is to let this mind be in you which was in the Messiah. to use a different metaphor. Torah is a marriage contract that YHVH offered mankind. Take His name, and follow His rules. Believers followed Torah for 300 years after the Messiah, until "Christians" outlawed obedience!

The only way to be born again and saved, and go to heaven and not go to eternal hell, is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.
Believing this about Jesus makes a person born again, and only believing this can do it.
Water baptism does not cause anyone to be born again, because salvation is by grace through faith in this about Jesus, and not by works.
