Friend,
I think the question is wrongly put.It is not question of believing in oneself that he knows the truth.
It is realisation of the ULTIMATE TRUTH and not belief. There is a gulf of difference between the two versions.
When one realises the TRUTH , in my opinion, he sees all are equal to him .He will not think that the rest except him are ignorant.
When one realises the TRUTH he knows the rest remaining is he alone and , a layer of maya is covering them from realising that truth. He will try to help with all humility to help them realise what they are.
So that way I feel and my learning so far has given me that understanding only.
I think so.

Truly speaking every one in this world is a seeker of truth and interested in knowing truth.
I do not know Truth. If I knew I would not be searching.
I do not know about others. I think I will recognize a soul who has realized Truth. I do think there are lot of ignorant fools, who claim to know the Truth.

No way. I believe I know the truth that makes more sense to me, and I believe everyone knows the truth that make more sense to them. There is no absolute Truth, only pieces that together makes a complex puzzle. We are all owners of our share and nobody is entitled to have the whole Truth, not yet, we are not ready for that, proud and selfish as we are.
Peace!

Although the human mind thinks that Truth is something that can be known (owned), it cannot. Truth is alive and flowing unknowable. It is a part of who we are. Anyone who thinks they know the Truth as a static, unchanging thing is deluded. The Truth is only known in the moment of realization. The farther from that moment you get the farther from the Truth you are. Truth is realized now or it is not Truth.

Yes I know the truth but I won't say that "ALL" others are ignorant. It is something you have to be blessed to acquire. ALLAH blessess those who seek the truth. So, in that sense, all those who seek truth will find it. Those who are not aware of truth or are busy denying it are the unfortunate ones as they never soughtout to know the truth, hence were never blessed with it either.

I need not believe that I know the Truth and all others are ignorants. Truth is Truth and will aways remain as Truth. There is nothing to be ignored in Truth as Truth is an established factor and that must be the guiding principle of our life. We must understand and move on the True path, there lies our success in life. Let us be Truthful in all our fields of activities and mere believe in existence of Truth, and as you said in your question"all others are ignorants" may be a false conclusion.
Knowledge of Truth, then restricting life in True Path, guide others to lead a Truthful life etc. are most important in this hour of unrest in the world.
LET US PRACTICE "TRUTH" AND IGNORE FALSE
(TRUTH vs FALSE) AND TRUTH BE OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLE IN LIFE & ACTIVITIES. TRUTHFUL LIFE WILL NEVER FAIL YOU.

From a spiritual perspective, we cannot fathom truth. Each of us see or hear things. From the knowledge we have we place emphasis on certain things and believe it as the truth.
Take for example, a accident where the car owners are arguing about whose fault it was. We do not know. We decide based on what is presented to us.

I believe I am ignorant and am always seeking more truth. Others help me find it, but can also hinder my progression with brick wall points of view. I like the quote to the affect of," It's funny how your head doesn't get big until you stop using it."

No,not at all. No one could ever think that way.Truth is multifaceted and multidimensional; each one may be perceiving from one/his vantage point only. Hence from that angle no one belief could approximate the truth. On the other hand, the reality can't be captured by belief at all.Truth is a truth,it exists already and for ever,it does not depend on our belief; believe or not it is just there! It can be discovered beyond our thoughts and belief,we must frequently go beyond our usual self to get that!
