No, it isn't a sin. If it is something that you can not use and you think someone else can, God wants you to share them. Re-gifting only means you didn't pay for it. It doesn't take away the value of the gift. Some people who have very little money but want to show someone they love and appreciate them, may need to re-gift to be able to give anything.

Any Gift given in Love can not be a sin. (Be aware I said "Given In LOVE' not "given in lust"- there is a difference)

Not at all! I do it all the time, and people are always pleased. Of course, in my family, we don't do normal presents. I have tons of really cool stuff so if I see people totally in love with something I have, I give it to them for Christmas. Or I give them something I got and never used, if I know they would love it. I put a lot of thought to what they would like. They know I do this, and I've never had anything less than rave reviews.

I don't think so. If you are given something that you don't want or need it's better to give it to someone who wants/needs it than just letting it sit unused.

But I'm always really open with my re-gifting. I don't care if they knew I personally didn't spend money on it.

I don't think it's a sin. It would be a sin to keep a bunch of stuff that someone else can use or will enjoy. God Bless.

No. And it's not lying either. You obviously felt like the gift you got was better suited for the person you gave it to.

The thing is yours, and certainly you should be allowed to share it with someone else. The only danger is to beware of hurting someones' feelings-- clearly you don't want to do that.

No, but I usually tell the people that it's a regift. They probably don't mind and do it themselves.
