Christians: Have you ever had any spiritual warfare dreams?

Question

I had my first one that I can remember a few days ago --- unfortunately I don't remember the details but I do know that I was battling demons using the name of Jesus and that it seemed, for lack of a better term, epic.

Do you have these? Is this common? How have they impacted your life if you do have them?

I have them all the time. Which makes sense, I guess.

I was told that one of my Spiritual gifts was "fighting demons" ( I'm still trying to get this gift stuff down, its exciting, yet a little scary)....Spiritual Discernment.

I did not "see" them at first. First they were just shadow's, which is how some see them here.

Then, I actually started to see them manifest themselves. The ones that I have seen are, the best I can explain, shiny and black, like tar. Strange, huh?

Now, they are showing up as dragons. I saw one literally attached to my two year son's back.

I have a number of times rebuked them in the name of Jesus out loud.

It seems like when I am trying to get the words out, I can barely speak until I struggle and finally yell it out.

I have also had dreams that I feel the Lord is showing me things that I really need to know.

I have known about something my teenage daughter was doing, before she did it. And I had no clue ahead of time, except for the dream.

I have seen Jesus in my dream also. He was just standing there with people gathered around him.

You start to know, what dreams you need to remember and what you don't. The Holy Spirit helps you out with this.
So, that has been my experience so far. Pray about it. The Lord will reveal the answer to you.

I cant say I have had any spiritual warfare dreams however I have had some minor unexplainable events that may be indications of spiritual warfare. Whenever I am out shopping, or at work, driving or even on the internet, the numbers "911" or "666" keeps popping up. For example twice in the past 2-3 weeks I paid for items, one rang up at $6.66 (I still have the reciept). The other came to 6.66 also. One of my alarm clocks went off, (possible electric storm) it came back on, of course the wrong time, I didnt set it, as I was walking by it it showed 9:11.

This has been happening for a very long time, I said its just coincidence and tried to ignore it but it occurs to often to be a coincidence. I tried to count how many times the numbers "222" or "444" come up to prove I am just imagining things, but I rarely see these numbers appear.

The above are just a few examples how these numbers keep popping up, I wonder if God is warning me about some coming event to my life or the nation as a whole. I am very uncertain, I hope its just coincidence.

Yes, I have before also, but it has been awhile, at least the ones that I remember. I think that it is an honor to be able to dream this, you may be fighting for someone that is in bondage and going to hell. I remember praying all night in my sleep the evening my dad went into the hospital. He was suppose to live for a couple of days at least, but died that morning. I had a dream that I saw walking with Jesus and then a couple of hours later I got the call. I called the hospital later and found out that he passed on about the same time I saw Him with Jesus.

My wife could tell you some stories!! The facts would only be laughed at, mocked, or disbelieved so I won't get to any details. However, yes, plenty of them. Amazingly, my wife can testify to a couple of them, as it was more than a dream a few times. The closer the walk we have with Yahweh, the more intense Believers find these conflicts.

WE wrestle not against flesh and blood..... BUT WE DO WRESTLE.

The WEAPONS of our WARFARE are not carnal..... BUT WE ARE AT WAR, AND WE DO HAVE WEAPONS.

Edit: I have a friend that writes down all his dream to the best of his memory when he wakes up. He has at least 50 thick spiral bound notebooks from over the years he has been doing. He is 45 now and has been doing it since high school. He goes back over them due to other dreams that come up checking for connections and the like. He now lives in Utah as some of his dreams warned him his home state would be in darkness one day. In other words, to some degree, he takes action in his life based upon dreams.

I have dreams, but not usually spiritual warfare. Though they lead that direction at times. Intercessory prayer.

If I have a fear dream, I try to call on the Name of the Lord & it can be difficult to do so. But calling on the Name fo the Lord wakes me up. So, I am sooo happy when I wake up.

The part of your dream that you remember is what God wants you to remember. There is spiritual warfare going on in your life right now. So? Read Ephesians & Ephesians6. And you have to battle for you & your family / friends. Pray for family members & ask God if some need extra prayer right now. I am sure this is probably the case. Pray in the spirit for them. Until you have the assurance you are praying for as much family & friends God is calling you to intercede for.

Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Coolbreeze SFCU for your comment! I have only had 5 or 6 of these dreams in my life. The figures are still shadowy or I just sense their presence. I try to say the name of Jesus and my voice is gone. I fight until I finally get it out and then it is like a vaccuum sucks the evil presences away. Immediatley! Last night I had a dream that was a little different. A friend asked me to help her and I felt the evil preence. I began singing Jesus Loves me and was quite amazed how easily it was coming out of my mouth. Then I felt the anger I was causing the evil presence. Then I was lifted up horizonatally in the air and it threw me toward a wall. As I was headed to the wall I thought, "I am going to hit it,...No, what if I could pass through it, ...I can do all things in Christ Jesus who strengthens me." Then I struggled to say the name of Jesus. As I said it, I heard an angry growl, passed through the wall and woke up. Weird, I know.

Wow. I do not think I have any spiritual warfare dreams. I am happy because I do not want to see any demons. Scary!!!!! I think I use to have a friend that had them, but she lives far away from me now. I wish I could speak to her again.

I haven't, but my mom has. She's told me several in detail, and I'm torn between wanting to have a couple just to see what they're like, and staying as far away from them as possible. Somehow, I'm a little disappointed, b/c not having them (to me) seems like God may not think I'm "ready" for them or that I haven't served Him enough for Satan to think I warrant an attack. Does that make sense? And I really hope that didn't come across arrogantly, but don't all Christians want to be better Christians every day?

I think some are just "nightmares".... but I know for sure that on two occasions since I have been of The Church I have had such experiences... I know of others who have had as well... the intensity differs... but the experience is very real...... I am of the belief that if this happens to one not of The Faith it can be a fatal encounter... I think this can explain why sometimes you hear of one who just "dies" for no apparent reason... they are just found dead... If one is not of The Church they would not have The Armor of God to protect them... I know for certain that many year before I came to God I was attacked by a force of evil... I would have been taken at that time if not another had witnessed the assault and his cries drove the demon off... yet it did not bring me to God at that time... but I now know how close I came to being eternally lost back then.
