My parents did that to me too and i had extrememly hairy legs if i could go back i would stand up for myself and shave them its your body and theres no reason for you to walk around with hairy legs your mother wouldnt walk around a judgemental school with hair all over her legs I would shave them and if it gets brought up explain kindly that its your body your becoming a woman and this is a natural part of growing up nad things are definetely the way they were when your mother was in school its a cruel cruel world now and kids these days get picked on for any and everything go for it your a woman now!!

Yes, you should be allowed to shave your legs. Honestly, if you're 12 all you're friends are shaving by now and you don't want to be the only one with hairy legs. Tell your parents that you get teased about it (a little white lie can't hurt) and that it's really awkward. Or just use your razor for your armpits and shave your legs with it if they won't let you.

I had that same problem, but in 7th & 8th grade. I ended up just shaving my legs, and there was nothing my mom could do. I don't think she understood what it was like to have hairy legs, because she can shave and grow one hair (literally) over a period of 2 months.

I hate when they do that. That was me when I was your age and you know what I waited until I was sixteen and just shaved them, but all the years of teasing I say just shave them. It's your body, if it was a piercing thats understandable and a whole different story but its just shaving your legs so go ahead and do it.

Go ahead and shave...Its your body that you have to walk around with, not your mothers..Obviously she can care less about what people say about you or about how you feel about yourself...Go ahead and shave, if it makes you feel better then just do it.
