No, You do not have to go to church to get to Heaven....
The theif that died on the cross did not go to church, Nor did He Have a chance to be Baptised. BUT, HE WAS SAVED While Hanging on the Cross Beside Jesus!
Jesus told Him "This day YOU WILL be with me In Paradise."!
God tells Us we Should Assemble our selves together with other believers, But if that is not Possible, IT certainly is not going to send Us to Hell! God KNOWS OUR HEART!!! "JEREMIAH 33:3"

Some religious organizations (Seventh-Day Adventists, Seventh-Day Baptists, and certain others) claim that Christians must not worship on Sunday but on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath. They claim that, at some unnamed time after the apostolic age, the Church "changed" the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday. However, passages of Scripture such as Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Colossians 2:16-17, and Revelation 1:10 indicate that, even during New Testament times, the Sabbath is no longer binding and that Christians are to worship on the Lord’s day, Sunday, instead. The early Church Fathers compared the observance of the Sabbath to the observance of the rite of circumcision, and from that they demonstrated that if the apostles abolished circumcision (Gal. 5:1-6), so also the observance of the Sabbath must have been abolished. The following quotations show that the first Christians understood this principle and gathered for worship on Sunday.

If there is a good church that you are able to get to in your area, you should go. If not, you should find one and move close to it if possible. If that is not possible, get together with Christian friends for fellowship and Bible study on a regular basis. You need the support of other Christians. It is my belief that, without it, you will backslide.
I hate to say it, but it sounds like God is not really a priority in your life, which may mean you are not really saved. You should pray about that. Also, Mr. Osteen would not be my first choice as a preacher. By the way, it also sounds like you have an idol in your life -- football. You're obviously NOT doing your all to be in God's favor. You should worry more about what He thinks and not what other Christians think.

It depends on you believe about God. Some Christian doctrines hold that you must attend to be allowed passage into heaven, whereas others say that it's not, in fact, a requirement. I would check with your pastor or church leader to determine what it is that your religion believes is the truth. If you don't think that he is telling the truth, then why are you listening to him anyway?
Or, you could listen to what other people, who have probably not studied the bible, have to say. As was said, church is primarily a fellowship opportunity where you are able to connect with your fellow believers and communicate, worship together, etc. It has less to do with God and more to do with people IMHO.
Of course, You really don't want my opinion in regards to this question because I don't subscribe to the tenets of Christianity, but I think my previous opinion is rather sound.

No.Hebrews 10 v 25 is the only place in the Bible where it says don't forget to gather with your Christian Brothers and sisters. That could be your neighbor, your sister your friend and so on.(LISTEN TO GOD IN SILENCE)
One time the Holy Spirit told me to leave church and go to the basketball court and reassure the 2 guys that they were still saved that I led them to Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.the night before And the preacher was talking about some nonsense and I left and sure enough someone was trying to tell them they were not saved. And not only did they regain confidence the man that was telling them they were not saved gave His life to Jesus .SEE LISTEN TO GOD NOT MAN.
Why do you think all these Churches are falling apart.
The main thing is to receive Jesus in your heart.
Love God with all your heart
Love and forgive everyone
And obey the Holy Spirit
Worship Jesus
Help others
Pray for others And fellowship with True brothers and sisters In Jesus Christ Our Lord And Savior

You don't have to go to church. You do have to know and believe the truth, that Jesus died for your sins so that you can join Him in Heaven.
I do feel better when I go, because I like to learn more, but I rarely have time to go. For example I learned one of the best things ever at church, what "love thy neighbor" means. (it doesn't mean a feeling of love, Jesus meant to love you neighbor in how you treat them - you don't have to like them to be good to them).
I used to feel guilty about not getting there enough, just a few times a year, and about giving very little money (or none sometimes - actually I get more than I give). My church told me it would be good for me if I could go consistently, but as long as I know the truth and try to live by Christian principles, I'm good to go.
I'm Catholic.

I think that church is the best way to get to know Christ. You will have bible studies, and then you have Support of other Christians. I think it is very important to gather together and learn more about the Lord. God bless hope to see you in church.

Did you know that you can buy Bible teaching tape and DVDs? Go to a Christian store and you will be so surprised at what you can buy and learn from.
If you want to read and learn God's Word, here is a day by day outline on how to read and study the Bible:

There are many many good ministers. Do your best to listen to more than one teacher. One to look in on early Sunday morning is Charles Stanley.

No, you don't have to go to church to get into heaven.
If you choose to watch a church broadcast--and watch it at a time that is more convenient--that's on you, but you will miss out on the fellowship, support and encouragement that going to church provides.
Christians don't need to do anything to be in God's favor, we are in his favor because we are his children.
Hope I helped. God bless you. †

Going to church is not mandatory, but it can be helpful. Christians need to encourage and be encouraged by other Christians. And it's a great place to learn more about God and His will.
