You can't sue!

I do agree kids are put under alot of stress but education has never been more important than ever!

I completley understand as i've never known so many kids to panic over tests now!

Good luck and Merry Christmas!

If you look in your student Handbook which they probably gave out and you either through it away or stashed it somewhere and forgot about it you will most likely see that what you have gotten in trouble for is against the rules. That won't stand up in court, also there is a new law about what you can sue for and you can't sue for anything stupid. You would also have to prove that they are delibratly trying to give you stress and knowing a lot of teachers they are not trying to give you stress, they are trying to get you ready for the real world and as mad as you are and whatever goes your way all the time doesn't mean because you can't have it your way you should just sue to make things right, but If for some reason you go against everyones opinion and try it anyways just know you are not just sueing the teacher you will probably be going after the school district too. But If you do sue does that mean that when ever you or any one else gets stressed out at work or in life period should alway be able to sue some one just because you blaim them for it? Just don't get worked up about things and you won't be stressed out, everything will fall into place, no worries.

Sorry, but that is pure and simple BS.

No, you have no right to sue cuz yer feelings are hurt. Grow up.
To you it's grief.
You guys ever consider how hard you make a teachers life? After all they are doing their job...trying to cram some intelligence down yer throats and into yer thick heads.

The only talking that should be done is class should pertain to the subject matter...not yer personal life misery's
Being late for class is disrespectful...to both yourself...your teacher, and your classmates.
Shame on you for being so self centered. Grow up.
You wanna act like an adult and talk about suing, then get an education in Law School....

The teachets could sue you right back.... and i'm sorry to say you need tor grow up....in the real world you can sue your boss because you had a bad day...school is such a shelter and i'mso sick of hearing kids whine about it...I graduated several years ago and I know both worlds very well.... School is a piece of cake it's life after that , that is tough.... sooooo deal with it you really REALLY need to focus more on school... in the real world not everything revolves around you. you arent allowed to just say and do whatever you want, AND if an employer feels you are in the wrong they can ask that you apologize or TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES for your actions

I believe teachers should make every effort to treat students courteously, but they have a right to comment on lateness and to ask students to stop talking. Both are distracting to the teacher and to the other students. Adults arriving late for a scheduled event usually know to slip in quietly and murmur an apology, and they also usually know not to talk during any presentation. Evidently you still have these things to learn. As for suing, you're most likely just to make an unbecoming spectacle of yourself.

Everyone these days either wants to shift the repsonsibility off themselves, or sue someone if things don't go their way.

Just try and sue for stress, you'll probably get expelled and end up with a crap education and wind up serving burgers for a living.

if you don't like teachers riding you, stop giving them something to ride you about. Teachers are just people doing a job, same as everyone else, and part of that job is to keep the kids in their care (thats you) in line. Stop talking in class, stop being late, stop dissing people, take responsibility when you have to and knuckle down and do your schoolwork.

You think you have it hard now, wait till you get a job. You have to put up with far worse than being told to stop talking, and it doesn't stop at 3pm and for weeks on end in the summer. Oh, and if you get in trouble at work you stop being paid, which is a bummer for those of us who like to eat and not sleep in a bus shelter.

You could only try, but Im afraid you'll lose.
You are a student, and are there to learn, not to talk and be late. When you do that, you disrupt the whole class and interferring with their learning. You are NOT the only person is your class. Some kids actually want to learn and if that causes you stress, then I would suggest you stop wasting other ppls time and quit school.

Sorry, but it sounds like a lot of your stress is self-induced. If you didn't talk and weren't late, they wouldn't have a reason to speak sharply to you, and life would be less stressful, wouldn't it? Sounds like your mouth keeps getting you into trouble.

For the most part, teachers only give grief to people who give THEM grief.

If you are in a classroom that is mixed between adults and minors, then no you shouldn't be treated differently. If that is the case, you can file a complaint with the school board. Especially if they are being disrespectful by telling you to shut up. However you have no legal grounds for a lawsuit.

you can't really sue anyone for causing you stress, including teachers. there's a tort called intentional infliction of emotional distress but it's very severe and wouldn't typically apply to regular school time activities, provided that you weren't genuinely, horribly, intentionally, and wrongly humiliated in some way. the conduct has to be extreme and outrageous. you can see what you'd need to prove it here:
