I believe the citric acid can be found in the canning section of any grocery store. Kosher salt is cheap and is in the regular grocery store in the spices department.

Kosher salt is usually available at any grocery store. If you are using the citric acid to keep fruit from turning brown, you can also get a product called "Fruit Fresh" from any grocery store.

Common salt, NaCl, readily dissolves in water. There is no reason it should not also dissolve in a dilute solution of citric acid.
