Really, what should matter the most is the heart.
Not litterally. The person should be nice, caring, funny and in general a good person.
Not a goody-two shoes who does everyting that they're told, but someone that fills in those empty holes.
They should complete you.
Hey, they say opposites attract but that isn't always true. Find someone who suits your taste.
Before you decide to propose or totally open up and tell them all of your deepest, darkest secrets, look before you leap.
Get to know them, go on dates. Good dates aren't going to the movie theater. Go to a dinner, the mall on a walk in the park and find what you like about the person.
Whenever you look them in the face do you noctice their eyes, smile, nose?
Whatever makes you and that person happy will be the right thing.
Just make sure that they like you back.

Face, smile and hair. Most people in a public place do not smile, due to the hardships and tedious nature of life... the people that do smile stand out from the rest of this crowd for this reason.

I try to notice everything, but mainly their hygiene. Do they look like they shower? Is their hair well groom? Do they seem to brush their teeth? If you are well groom you will definitely stand out from the crowd. Also, I notice if they know how to dress. Trust me a person that doesn't know how to coordinate an outfit might have trouble coordinate other things.

Everyone is lying! Let's be honest, please!
Before you can even notice the eyes or smile , you notice the body shape . Both men and women. Women are not gravitating towards overweight men and neither are men toward women.
Then you notice an inviting smile and the twinkle in their eyes.

Energy is the first thing I notice if I'm attracted to someone. I'm attracted because I like their energy above all else. By that I mean, I like fun, happy & (smart)witty.

the thing that first attracted me to my current boyfriend, is that he was just a really relaxed and spontaneous guy. he was funny, had a big smile on his face, was a good listener, stuff like that.
in general i would say a friendly face (with a big smile) and nice eyes are really important! =)

Their hair - get a good hair cut
Their eyes - not much you can do about this, either you have nice eyes or you don't.
Their smile - look after your teeth and brush and floss

I dont know...There is never just one thing. I could find someone not that attractive at first. But then talk to them for a little while and find them completey attractive...

Their character, how they act. How they react to particular situations. Like if someone needs some help with something if they are quick to help them out (in little things).
Just be yourself, and pleasent!
