I would hope that this Heaven, this "perfect place" which is supposedly normally like that as it's believed to be, I would hope that that can be "optional".

I have a few interests that might have some bad to them and if Heaven can't have any of these, then Heaven sounds like a borefest and Hell obviously isn't any better.

1) Shooting guns(I like the 38 caliper).

2) Playing an instrument(I like the heavy metal rock guitar).

3) Experiencing what it's like to get drunk.

4) Driving an 8-cylinder sports car down an aphault road at 150 mph(I like the 1998 Camaro Z28).

5) I like watching demolition derbies.

6) Instead of just eating fruit from trees(like from the Garden of Eden), I would rather be eating hot fresh stuffed crust pizza from PizzaHut.

7) And of course, I have an interest in the opposite sex(need I say more about this one?)

If I don't have all of these desires anymore after I go there, then I'm not happy about it, I better enjoy this stuff now.

I wonder if Heaven has changed and developed with people's experiences and knowledge of things since 2000 years ago.

I've been thinking about the same for a while. A perfect eternity with no conflict doesn't sound like living at all, but hey, who knows.

There are solutions to every problem that is there:

1) You could shoot guns, but no accidents would ever occur. Also, no bad people can be in heaven, so guns couldn't be used for evil.

2) Playing an instrument isn't bad, it's very good! If people didn't like it, God could make it so they couldn't here that type of music.

3) You could experience the effects, but no bad would come from it. You couldn't drive drunk, and you physically couldn't make choices that could hurt others while drunk. No hang overs.

4) You could drive the car fast, but it would be impossible to crash. God would give you a small push if you were going to hit something. Or you would go through that something.

5) Demolition derbies would happen on TV only, but not in real life. You could see them, but they wouldn't really be happening.

6) I'm sure Heaven has modernized some, because there can be no sadness in Heaven. I'd be pretty sad without my technology (Xbox 360, TVs, Computers).

7) You could not have more than one partner, as that is against the Ten Commandments. However, you could still practice intercourse. There would be no STDs, and no pain from sex, just joy.

And DON'T do the bad things a lot now, in case they don't exist in Heaven! If you do bad things now, you won't get to go to Heaven!

In my opinion, if it really is heaven than it won't be boring and you will be able to experience pleasure. I'm not sure if I think it will be in the same kind of material ways you mention here, but if not I'm sure it will be because there is something even better that you haven't thought of yet. I never read in the Bible that heaven had to be a bunch of people sitting around in the clouds playing harps and eating fruit -- I don't want to go to that heaven either!! I guess I just don't see any reason why there can't or wouldn't be guitars, beer, and pizza in heaven.

Ahh, the thing about Heaven is that it is not earth. Doesn't sound very deep, but it's true.
So while you may think you will miss out on the fun things you enjoy on earth, perhaps there is something so much fun in Heaven that shooting guns while getting drunk won't even compare to the fun you are having in Heaven.
Essentially, should you be sober enough to get to heaven and not bust a cap on any angel *** on the way, your perception of what is enjoyable will be different in heaven.
So enjoy what you like doing now, and when you are in heaven there will be something new to enjoy, like perhaps praising the Lord for his gift of salvation.

We cannot completely understand what heaven is like or what we will be like when we get there. We do no comprehend the complete joy we will have when we are with God. You only mention the adult things you enjoy and not the things you enjoyed when you were 2, 5, or 8 years old. Maybe you outgrew those things. Will all of today's fun things be important to you when you are 72? From what I understand about hell, it does not seem that there will be fun things there.

How exactly would you go about shooting a 38 caliper??? and WTF is it???

Didn't know there was a "heavy metal rock guitar"...is that a brand we can buy???

The 1998 Camaro Z28 does 150 mph on asphalt??? what would it do on gravel??? 110 mph maybe??? I bet my 1971 Boss 429 Mustang will smoke your Camaro...150 in 1/8 mile...

PizzaHut pizza is too greasy and tastes like guano...

There won't be any recognizable sexes in heaven...we'll all be asexual perfect beings...take care of yourself...like you do now but no hands...

I have a feeling heaven will be nothing like we imagine it.
I think this life is the fake and joke, and that the afterlife will be when things really get interesting.
Imagine getting handed a machine gun, a rocket launcher and a Harley the minute you arrive in heaven and your job is to go slaughter demons who are trying to escape from hell! How much would that rock!?!
I prayed a lot about my friend's Dad who died - he was a biker - and this is the image I kept getting of him every time I prayed for him. He loved it! And he had badass friends helping him.

Since no one has gone to Heaven and came back to tell us what is there and is allowed there. we don't know exactly. The only thing we can do is go by what the Bible tells us.
There will be no liars, no murders, no Hospitals, no adultry, no rapes. There will be perfect harmony, perfect love, peace like you never knew. Streets of gold. You will never die, or be sick. You will never grow old. All these things are mentioned in the scriptures. There will not be any evil thing there. No perverts. No battering. Whatever is mentioned in the word of God, can be believed.
I am sure no one wants to go to hell. There will be no parties there. Only torment. God will not send anyone to hell. People will send themselves there.

I have no idea what Heaven is like. We are given a little description about it, but not much. Dont worry, I dont think it is going to be boring or dumb-haha. and it's far better than the other alternative.

In the end the earth will be made new, and very good. When YHVH made it in the first place, it was very good, and sex was part of it, so that likely will be there. as for the rest of that stuff, I think most of it will be in the lake of fire where all sin and sinners will be destroyed, and the only question for you is whether you choose to be there with it.
