How can i reduce or eliminate the occurence of getting nasty static shocks?. It happens mostly when am taking off or wearing clothes that has wool in it or opening my car door. Yes I do live in a cold state (minnesota).

In your home, a humidifier will reduce the static. Outside, the only thing you can do is to eliminate wool and synthetic fabrics like nylon, polyester, and polypropylene. Cotton does not cause static, and cotton blended with synthetic fabrics can greatly reduce static..

ya, you got to humidify your place... but you can buy a mister instead of a humidifier, cause humidifiers cost alot more...if you live in a small place, I'd get a mister and just move it from room to room, if you have a big place, a humidifier is probably a better choice.
